Instead you are on the safe side if you teach every content that is prescribed in the curriculum (a lot of content!) in a traditional way.

Yes, I use some elements of PBL in my praxis, usually to show teachers how it feels to be on the pupil side in PBL. Even if it is not a full project, we use a lot of formative assessment. We try to make participants create lesson plans or activity plans that can be used right away - I think that's a realistic context for learning. We usually have the trouble that teachers show different levels of understanding about technology and pedagogy as well. We must be ready to change quickly and also we must have multiple learning paths. Also I find it hard to follow up what has happend after a training occasion. We can't be sure if anything has changed, even if we ask.

Groups have to organize shapes in order to create a new figure out of them. Old kindergarten game, but with collaboration it can be quite interesting.

there was little new theory in module 2, but participants' social networking activity and the quistions that came up made me think about the design of an online course that is collaborative. The problem is it is really hard to make people share equal responsibility in the group if the whole work is done remotely. Compared to a classroom setting you have less possibility to intervene if someone doesn't work.

I was wondering if it would be possible to start a MOOC on which teachers and parents/carers take part together. It is a community of parents plus a teacher who work together throughout the course - preferably parents whose kids attend the same class. Together they learn about esafety, examine what problems their children have (what games they play, what social network they are in), and come out with some local solutions.
