I want to be a teacher because I want to instill a love of learning and make a difference in students' lives. I grew up with school being my favourite place, so much so that I would come home and ask my sister to play school with me. Also, the positive impact my teachers left on me is inspiring and is something I would like to do for my future students. Being a teacher means that you have the opportunity to make a positive difference in students' lives and that is such a rewarding feeling. :)

I want to be a teacher because I want to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for my students. I know that not everyone comes from the same background, and if I can give at least one student something to look forward to every day, then I will be very proud of and satisfied with my work.

there were some teacher i had who were super engaging and i could tell that they really put effort into making the class enjoyable for all types of learners. this is something i want to do for my students, and these teachers inspired me to teach

I want to be a teacher because I want to positively impact the lives of so many students. Hopefully my future students can look back fondly and with happy memories of their time with me as their educator. Also, I have mentioned in a previous post that I have been coaching basketball for almost 7 years and the fulfillment I receive from that correlates to the feeling I get being in the classroom. I could not be more excited for my career as a teacher.

I want to be a teacher because I want to try and make school something that students don't dread coming to. I want students to enjoy coming to school, or at least my class as a start. I understand that most students hate school and see it as something they need to just "get through", however, if I can make it somewhat enjoyable for them then I am happy.

I want to be a teacher because I know firsthand the positive impact a teacher can have on a student’s life. I’ve experienced moments when I felt alone, misunderstood, and unsupported, and during those times, it was a teacher who noticed my struggles, offered me kindness, and reminded me of my worth. That experience taught me that teaching is so much more than delivering lessons; it’s about being a mentor, a listener, and a source of encouragement for students who may be navigating their own challenges.

The main reason I want to become a teacher is to encourage students to achieve their goals. Growing up, I always had teachers who would discourage me and other students, often seeming to place limitations on our futures. I want to help encourage my students to strive for something they might have thought was unattainable before. In addition, I enjoy my two subjects, religious studies and philosophy, and always enjoy talking about them or teaching them to others.

I enjoyed my high school experience with robotics. So, I'm currently helping out at my school placement (FRC) and old high school (FTC). I want to help students understand Math and Science. Likewise, help run the robotics club wherever I end up. - Gilbert

The reason why I want to be a teacher is because of what education, good role models and teachers have done for me. I personally never envisioned myself getting a post secondary education or doing much of anything until I met teachers who motivated me and helped me back up and made me realize that there is hope and I have potential to be and do anything I want to be. After finally being around educators who wanted me to be successful they impacted my life in a significant way, and that's when I realized that I would love to do the same for someone one day, I would love to teach because of my interest in art but also because I hope to make a change in someone's life one day - Hilal. I want to be a teacher to help me step into what I feel is part of my role and purpose in life. It's an intuitive feeling. I think that embarking on this journey will reflect positively in the way I move in the community, and improve my vision of myself and others.
