A Ball for Daisy is a wordless picture book that tells a story about a dog with a ball. She loves playing with her ball. He owner takes her to the park and another dog pops Daisy's ball. Her owner then buys her a new ball to play with. This would be a good book to talk about sharing. It would be good to use at a first or second grade level. A teacher could talk about using pictures to tell a story or have the students write a story to follow the pictures. The book is moderately complex.

The Whisper is about a picture book about young girl who loves to read. After reading all the books in her classroom, she asks a teacher if she could borrow the one on the shelf. When she gets home, she realizes that the book has no words. At first she is disappointed and didn't understand how a book could be wordless. She hears a whisper that tells her to create her own story. She flips through the book and asks questions to help interpret the meaning of the picture. The story is all about imagination and story telling. This book could be used for fourth grade. It could be used to talk about the parts of a story or using pictures to interpret the story or text. It is an exceedingly complex book.
