She showed me the two buildings of her business which is selling gallery and the factory of baking a ‘Kuih Kapit’. She also showed her own banana’s orchid. She planted almost 20 banana trees. The orchid is behind of her house. 

Madam Zila explained to me about her business and I also asked many question to her. 

After that, she asked me to peel “Pisang Tanduk”  as much as 50 kilo gram . She told me that she wanted to make a “Kerepek Pisang Tanduk”. She taught me how to peel it gently. After few minutes, another worker came to peel it. She had two workers but, today another worker not is able to work due to problem. I tried to peel the bananas gently. I was so happy because Madam Zila praised me because I can peel the bananas neatly. 

Madam Zila sliced and fried the ‘Pisang Tanduk’. We finished our work at 1.00 p.m. Madam Zila allowed me to come back home.

She prepared yellow salt water. Then, she heated the big wok. Wait for 15 minutes until the oil heat. Then, slowly sliced the ‘Pisang Tanduk’ . She told me that I must always careful. It may cause an injured because the oil can be split out from the hot wok. 

After that, it supposed to be put in the large plastic. Madam Zila received booking from the customer. The bananas must be measured. So, the supplier will come and take it.

So, I wanted to show the big wok looks like. 

Madam Zila and I put the sticker on the case of the food. Madam Zila told me that this sticker was the third sticker in her business. This is because, she always upgrade her business. For instance, she upgraded her product of adding the nutrition information.

At first, it is very difficult for me because the toaster was very hot. I must fold the ‘Kuih Kapit’ when the texture in a soft figure. So, I must be faster. Honestly, there was few of ‘Kuih Kapit’ of being rejected because it was not in a good condition. But, Madam Zila kept supporting me to bake it. Finally, I did it well. 

She gave an advice not too easy to give up. It is a normal situation for a new worker. 
 
So, this is my 'Kuih Kapit'. I feel little sad because it is not really nice looks. But, atleast I tried my best and Madam Zila wanted me to try and try again.

Some people curious how to put the chocolate into the ‘Kuih Kapit’ right? Today, I got new knowledge. The chocolate must be put in the middle of ‘Kuih Kapit’ as much as one small scope. After few minutes, the ‘Kuih Kapit’ can be put in the container. The technique to arrange it into the container was so important so that the ‘Kuih Kapit’ will be not crash.

Madam Zila bought many containers, flour, oil and the other stuff. Usually, Madam Zila goes to buy stuffs by herself. Right now, she asked me to join her. She wanted to show me how she handles her budget. She said that, it took half day to buy the raw material and stuffs. 

She said in business, the budgeting plan is so important because we as an entrepreneur must know how we manage our budgeting plan. So, we must be wise to avoid loss risk in business.

So, this is KILANG MINYAK BATU TUJUH, TANJONG KARANG. The worker was filling the oil in the container.

Madam Zila told me that if the quantity of ordering ‘kerepek’ is not too much, she do it by herself only. She told me that the costing of doing the ‘Kerepek’ is high, because all the raw material nowadays is in a high price. So, she must think the way how to overcome the situation. 

Madam Zila fried the bananas. I took an advantage to ask her more about her business. She was really easy going person. She said that, we must do everything and sacrificed to achieve the goal of our life. I got much knowledge from her. 

She gave me the annually report of her business. She said that I can take a look of her annual report. So that, I can see the certificate that she received all this time.

First of all, I must put the “Kerepek Pisang Tanduk” in a plastic. The plastic was already printed (design). I am ready to weigh and make sure the weights of product must accurate. After that, I must stick on the plastic bag using a stick tools. Lastly, I put the expired date of the product and put it at the shelf.

Madam Zila told me the about the tenacity of ‘kerepek’. When, the product put in the building, it can long lasting for 6 months than under the canopy which is a month. It depends on the environment, the more it expose to the hot high temperature, the less the tenacity of the product.

In my opinion, not many of entrepreneur knew this information because Madam Zila always doing her own R & D (Research and Development) I her business. So, she always gains much knowledge in her business.

Madam Zila gave me a work of packaging product about 5 big plastic bags.

After that, I made the ‘Kuih Kapit’ for one and half hour. I made for original and chocolate fill. Madam Zila also helped me to bake it. Madam Zila received order as much as 50 bottles. It will be sent to the shop.

Sometimes, she also received an order for the wedding ceremony. But, she put into plastic bag. It depends on how much the customer wants the quantity.

She showed her marketing strategy in her business as a Small and Medium Industry. She told me that the marketing strategy is so important that we as an entrepreneur must know the way to cope with the market. If not, the business will go down and shut down. 

I can saw her product especially for ‘Kerepek’ and ‘Kuih Kapit’ are the famous one among the people. Madam Zila brought twenty packs of ‘Kerepek Pisang Tanduk’ and 50 bottles of ‘Kuih Kapit’. 

One of the famous shops in Tanjung Karang, Kedai Kek Kak Ima also sells the products. Madam Zila had to add the product especially when the festival around the corner such as ‘Hari Raya Puasa’.

Madam Zila told me that she compulsory to do annually report. It is because, it is required of company which is registered under SSM (Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia). From the bottom of my heart, I feel so glad for her and hopefully Madam Zila will always be a great entrepreneur. For 10 days, I got many experience in this programme.
