He graduated at the age of 22 in the year of 1855. After that he spent one year in Paris and studied neurology and ophthalmology with neurologist Silas Weir Mitchell. Yellow Fever was his main focus, 1881 Dr. Carlos Finlay Advanced his theory. His theory was that Yellow Fever was transmitted by a specific species of mosquito named Aedes that was transmitted thought its bite. This did not go well and his colleagues ignored him and said he was wrong for 20 years.
