A line that I relate to was when we unconsciously or consciously shape the values that our parents have, which is what we all do experience. Although, even though I have shaped these values, that I inherited from my family, I still developed my own values which I have learned throughout my whole life as a person. It is different as to what I have been taught to by my family like my own moral and religious beliefs and that’s what I strongly value even though it is different from my family, and I will continue to value it throughout my whole life.. So maybe I can relate it to Mother Ignacia’s life when she continued to pursue the calling from God even though that’s not what her parents wanted for her. She stayed true to herself and faithful to her pursuits, which I resonate with.
If there is something that I want to improve with my family, it would be the unity that we have. There are times when we don’t really agree on some discussion because our values contradict with each other, and I hope we still respect each other even at times we don’t agree on a particular matter.
Even though we have values that contradicts to one another’s values, what I really admire about my family is that we stay true and strong with our beliefs and we do everything to follow our pursuits, sacrificing everything, putting other things aside just so we can express our values, the strong commitment and value that we put to our own beliefs and emotions, and that’s what Mother Ignacia embodied.

Based on the short excerpt, the only thing that I can relate to her life is her basic faith such as praying, going to church, and receiving the holy communion. As I grow older though, I tend to develop my own values and beliefs based on social norms, how people behave, teachings from my parents, and influence from peers. Some of my beliefs may even sound contradicting to Christian belief. But unfortunately, that's how I understood that belief and that is what I think is right. But I'm willing to be corrected if ever that some part of my beliefs could be wrong. The human mind can consciously or unconsciously be influenced by people around us, whether it be from the family or peers.

I relate to this because I have always been a leader for several years, I have these experiences whether in a simple class activities and school organizations, and like Mother Ignacia, I understand the challenges and responsibilities that come with guiding others. Just as she paved the way for other women, I strive to lead in a dedicated way that encourages and empowers others around me.

2.) I really want to improve communication in my family. I grew up with a lot of silent treatment, and the way love was shown was mostly through gifts and money. I appreciate those things, but it always felt like something was missing—real affection and open conversations. I just want us to be more open with each other, to express how we feel, and to show love in ways that actually make us feel connected as a family.

3.) The values of Mother Ignacia that I can relate to are her resilience and determination. Despite challenges and difficult circumstances, I always find a way to stand strong and keep going. Like her, I strive to push forward no matter what, staying focused on my goals and not letting obstacles shake me.

Similarly, my interactions with teachers, friends, and mentors have also shaped my perspective and choices, sometimes without me even realizing it.
it would be spending more quality time and bonding. In our busy lives, we sometimes get caught up in school, work, and other responsibilities, leaving less time for conversations and bonding moments.
I can relate to myself and my family is her faith in God, her spirit of service and humility is something I admire and try to practice in my own life. and I also aim to pursue excellence in everything I do, whether in academics, leadership, or personal growth.

I can relate to Mother Ignacia's conflicting emotions of wanting to make her parents proud but also wanting to uphold her own faith and values.
For me, I would want to improve my values and faith as a child for my family. I would like to improve the connection and bond that could be fostered.

Values. Growing up, my family was never involved in how I have developed who I am today, while the environment plays a big role in how a child grows to a functioning member of society, I think the parents are still the biggest factor. I want for me and my family to be open to each other more, because I think it's broken now, while it has been that for a long time, I just can't see to it like that, I want us to have a proper dinner for one, for our sake. "Her upbringing in a Christian household instilled in her a strong spiritual foundation that would later influence her life and work" -- made me glad that I study in St. Mary's because I am able to embrace my faith with God, and to an extent see both Mother Ignacia and Mother Mary as my role models

It would be stronger relationships with my family -- I am not very close with my family admittedly, especially to my father, and as I grow older, I hope that I would maximize creating bonds with my family

This line is very relatable, because it is a very true statement. We do learn habits, and values both good or bad from our parents, and those who surround us whether we notice it or not.

Based on Mother Ignacia's example, I would emphasize the importance of open communication and mutual respect within the family. In any family, it is important to create an environment where every member will feel heard and appreciated. I would work to enhance active listening and empathy to ensure that each member's view is heard and valued.

Mother Ignacia's lifeshows resilience in adversity, driven by a strong sense of religiosity that gave her direction and meaning. Her down-to-earth values of industry, obedience, respect, simplicity, and modesty, essential for stability and harmony, are still applicable and needed today where many care only about their own. I believe that in my family, despite having differences in beliefs, religion, perspective, and personalities, we respect each other including the flaws that we have where we let down all negativities and opinions and treat one another as family.

I can relate to Mother Ignacia's calling as her faith shows a deep connection with God. I can also relate to her helping communities understand more about the word of God because I became a catechist twice and it taught me a lot while also teaching other young people.
If there is something I want to improve with my relationship to my family, it would be connection because they are the foundation of who I become as a person. Like Mother Ignacia, she holds her faith and fight for the right of her wanting to have a deeper connection from God.

From my experience in highschool, I think it's very visible from the difference in the energy and personality I had throughout highschool, dealing and growing with different people each year. I find that it's very important to choose the people you will surround yourself with because they are huge factors of your entire being.

If there is something I want to improve in my relationship in the family, it would be being a lot more open and truthful. Going through things together as a loving family that helps one another from difficulties with genuineness, happiness, and honesty.

Values of Mother Ignacia can I relate to myself, or family are obedience, simplicity, and respect. These values seem to be one of the most basic values a person must have, especially respect. We are able to show this to one another that keeps our bond strong and healthy.
