I find so much peace and relaxation in the mountains. I go on daily runs or walks outside in order to recharge and take in the beauty of nature. Whenever I go outside, I realize how blessed I am to live in such a beautiful place and it has greatly increased my quality of life. Being outside and spending time in nature has also been a wonderful way for me to connect with my friends and family. Me and my cousins love to take beach trips together which has really bonded us. I go hiking with my friends a lot and it has been a great way to talk and feel more connected. It has been a way for me to express my emotions and feelings in a constructive way. I have grown up playing the piano and it has been such a big part of my life. I have accompanied many choirs and singers and have performed piano pieces in my church. The piano has also taught me the importance of hard work and practice. If I do not spend the time practicing a song I can not expect to develop my talents and learn new songs. Being a part of a religion and having a belief system is so important to me. I do believe in all the good that the church does and the lessons of kindness and service it teaches. However, sometimes it is hard being part of the church culture because everyone takes in information in different ways which can lead to what the church is actually trying to teach to be distorted. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and beliefs which has made being part of the church culture difficult for me in some situations because people do not always express themselves in the most positive ways.
