         <description><![CDATA[<p>Children with ADHD often struggle to maintain focus on tasks or activities, which can manifest in several ways. They may find it hard to concentrate on schoolwork, chores, or even play activities. For example, a child might start a homework assignment but quickly lose interest and leave it unfinished. They might make errors in schoolwork or other tasks that seem to be due to a lack of attention to detail, such as skipping questions on a test or overlooking important instructions. They can be easily side tracked by irrelevant stimuli, like background noise or other activities happening around them. For instance, a child might start daydreaming during a lesson or get distracted by a bird outside the window.</p><p>Hyperactivity in children with ADHD is characterized by excessive movement and difficulty staying still. They may constantly move their hands or feet, or squirm in their seat. For example, a child might tap their pencil on the desk or wiggle their legs while sitting. They often have trouble remaining seated in situations where it is expected, such as in the classroom or at the dinner table. A child might frequently get up from their seat during class or leave the table during meals. They may talk more than their peers and have difficulty engaging in quiet activities. For instance, a child might interrupt others frequently or dominate conversations.</p><p>Impulsivity involves acting without thinking and having difficulty with self-control. They might have trouble waiting for their turn to speak and often interrupt conversations. For example, a child might blurt out answers in class without raising their hand. They may struggle with activities that require patience, such as waiting in line or taking turns in games. A child might push ahead in a line or become frustrated during group activities. They might act quickly without considering the consequences, leading to risky behaviours. Parents may need to modify their work schedules or reduce their working hours to meet their child's needs, potentially affecting their overall income and career progression.</p><p>Despite these challenges, there are positive impacts as well.
