In the Aztecs, the people all appear similar. This is because the Aztecs only believe in one religion.

People can choose to believe in any religion. No one is obligated to be religious.

Important figures nowadays do not need to be religious, as religion is kept separate from work. Unless you work in a church, people prefer to keep religion and work separate. This is because it may cause conflicts between people with varying religions. This is why different people with different beliefs are able to work together.

However there are similarities. 

In both societies, religion brings people together. People with the same religion and beliefs interact. This is why in Canadian society people gather in churches. 

Religion also gives some people a reason for living.
