Spiritual Concerts

I have only attended a handful of concerts over the years of my life. I have only been to a couple of music concerts that were not classical music concerts. I love that you can just sit and be captive in the world of music in a concert though, that is really why classical music concerts are my favorite. It is nice how quiet and peaceful everyone is there versus a normal concert where everyone is making noise. In this sense I believe that music concerts can be a site of religious or spiritual experiences. When I go to the Dallas symphony orchestra I can definitely feel both religious and spiritual feelings in me as I lose myself into the music. I love going to the Dallas Symphony Orchestra when I can. It is just so beautiful and incredibly peaceful to be in what feels like your own sanctuary of music, in an environment that is so acoustically perfect. I just feel so spiritual in that moment, like my body is in perfect tune with each note in the concert, and that my spirit has left my body to become one with the incredible music. I also feel the religious aspect of God in the music as he is the one who has created the beautiful music through man so that we can enjoy these beautiful works of art. I do not feel the same level of spirituality in other genres of concert music, however I believe that I would feel these same reactions or maybe even stronger ones if I was ever given the opportunity to go to an electronic music concert as the music just being played on my phone invokes a strong spiritual response from me.

I used this as my second picture because it represents my love for classical music. It is a spiritual experience like no other concert that I have experienced before. I love getting spiritually lost in such a relaxing concert like a classical music concert, an experience that isn't like any other. It also represents the relaxing view of a classical music concert from the perspective of the viewer. Classical music is exciting, surprising, and quite often funny. It is fun to watch and is enjoyable. I think classical music concerts are the best because they are the perfect length at around two hours. I can't wait to go to one again.

Tchaikovsky was the first classical music concert that I went to at the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. It was such an unforgettable experience that awakened something deeply spiritual in me during the performance. My parents company rented out a box seat and we got to watch the performance from the comfort of a box seat which was nice. The perfect sound that reached my ears just sent me into another world, leaving my body behind in that chair. It felt so old school and nice to sit up high and listen to the performance. I felt fancy and got to listen to a performance that was just jaw dropping beautiful. It was just such a masterpiece, like Tchaikovsky was given the notes by God in order to make such a beautiful work of art. I will never forget how awesome that memory was.

Music is a spiritual experience for me, that is why I decided to choose this picture for my image one. It captures the feeling of being in your own calm world when you are listening to the music that you love. It is a spiritually freeing experience like it is also shown in the image below.

This other video that I have added shows my spiritual connection to electronic music. One thing that I love about electronic music is that I feel that I can turn it on, set back in my chair and melt away into my own little world. It's almost like a musical high, where are you feel as if your whole body is melting with the song. It is truly a genre of music that I feel like I'm in my own little sanctuary. I was first introduced to electronic music through YouTube in 2012, and since then it has been one of my favorite genres of music to listen to, especially while studying.

https://youtu.be/9m3wZcpOEVg
