I was really satisfied with the finished result of this project. It has a nice flow and looks pleasing to the viewer. It also has meaning to me. This girl feels misunderstood and her life is very chaotic, both physically and mentally. This collage didn't go as planned; I didn't start with the idea of depicting a human within the collage. I started with a cloud, but then came up with the idea of extending the cloud with arms and hands. I wanted to make sure that it didn't resemble Ariel (the Disney princess), so I added some of my own elements to the collage to make it my own.

The circles represent a portal to an alternate universe. I placed body parts of various creatures and humans to represent how they're stuck between both worlds. They're only half-way through and want to escape their reality, but they can't. I'm not really satisfied with the final result or the execution, but I really enjoyed the process of designing this project because it has meaning to me, even though the viewer can't really decipher what's going on in my collage.
