We came up with another idea and we used our cell phone flash lights and it kinda helped some pictures came out light and some lighter. I would rather use f/8 because everything comes in focus and it kinda brightens up the picture and it shows very good quality. 
Somethings i learned was that the reflector kinda helps it does reflect light, another thing i learned was that it really isn't easy to take pictures of food and getting the best angle.
