In his encyclical Laudato Si, Pope Francis highlights critical environmental challenges the world currently faces. That being said, he asks all people of Faith to come together to fix the ecological destruction humans have done over the past years. As followers of Christ, we have been given the duty and responsibility of being stewards of His creation. We must actively protect, oversee, and manage all of what He has created, as it is by caring for His creation that we can show love for our God, the Father.

Even as simple as avoiding trends and participating in more long-term and sustainable means of living is a means to avoid Throwaway culture. For the glory of God and the benefit of others, our work drives us to bring out the best in ourselves. We must nurture and grow the entirety of who we are to fulfill our purpose in life.
