His duties are to keep safe of all the passengers, check all the equipments, be aware of any suspicious thing, know how to arm and disarm the doors and also, know all the information about the flight.

he never shares flights with the same crew, big company, a lot of people, so the crew is never the same. At the pre-flight briefing while the purser checks documents, they also discuss flight details, emergency equipment (how to use it and where is it) aircraft configuration, their duties and additional information about the flight. The crew, including jack, has to show how to manage emergency procedures such as firefighting, and emergency exits, where are they and how to open them. Their golden rule is "safety first", they have to be careful with dangerous objects on plane, even more careful with the small ones that can be hidden in small in very small places, these objects could be toxic liquids, bombs or weapons. In case to find one of these things, the crew has to inform the captain about it, describe what it looks like and where is it. After the flight we have a debriefing where we discuss all the things that happened during the flight.
