I enjoy learning these new tools on google class room and the group work.
3. The discussion surrounding a Caribbean team/network that share resources is ideal. I believe that work exchange programme for 3months or longer can enhance our individual, agency and country skills and knowledge.
4. Prevention is key. I believe using research and numbers - to show the impact of prevention programming on the population and the economy will attract the attention of Governments.
5. I learnt a lot this week. Keep up the great work Tania and Lei

Having met most of the members for the first time, it was interesting how we collectively viewed the drug problem in Grenada - agreeing on most while sharing new perspectives.

I personally really enjoyed Mouse Party. It was a fun way to learn the information and being visual learning, I found it most helpful.

I look forward to the upcoming week.

The self-assessment survey on Monday 7th enabled me to come to terms with where I am in terms of the knowledge, skills and attitudes required for successfully implementing ECP Programs. I recognize that I will need to keep improving in a number of areas in order to do a great job.

The earlier discussion on the need to have trained professionals delivering drug prevention programs was also insightful. Having untrained persons conduct prevention programs, especially among vulnerable children and youths could have very negative consequences.

The discussion on White & Provovits Universal Ethical Standards, along with the case studies was a good close to the classroom presentations. Apart from a solid ethical foundation, EBP Programs cannot be sustained. In spite of the view that ethics and morals can be divorced, I think that we need to see the good linkage between the two and approach EBP's from the position that individuals can be helped to develop both in tandem. In many cases, a strong foundation of healthy and non-judgmental morality can be excellent protective measures in drug prevention.

Overall, I am very appreciative of the learning derived from the course and look forward to working along with the Grenada team to bring its value to bear in our national Drug Prevention efforts.

I wish each participants in each country well in their pursuits.

A very special thanks also to Lei and Tania for facilitating the training.
