The Colosseum was used for entertainment but different from the theaters. There were athletes, gladiators, and wild animals whom will come together to entertain the crowd of Roman citizens. 

In Modern day, Our Colosseum look more as a stadium or dome where different sports such as baseball, football, soccer, and basketball are held. People are entertain by these sports and cheering on their favorite team.
