Favorite character:
Our favorite character is David because he is so sweet with Tally and he keeps supporting her. He really loves Tally and it shows. He is sincere when he tells Tally that she’s beautiful. Throw Out the book David is one of the only great thing that happens to Tally and when she’s with him she forget the fact that she doesn’t have any parents and that her best friend Perry is not there anymore. If Tally didn’t meet David she wouldn’t know what the surgery is really about and what they actually do.
Least Favorite character: In our opinion, our least favorite character is Dr. Cable, because she doesn’t want what’s best for Tally. She sends her alone to the Smokes to spy on Shay and get her back to the city. Dr. Cable knows that it’s dangerous for Tally, but she sends her anyway. It’s only when Tally gets to the Smokes that she realizes that she shouldn’t have the surgery and that Dr. Cable is manipulating her. That’s when we understand that Dr. Cable is not a good person and she doesn’t care as much has she should about her patients. She only wants all the uglies to have the surgery, that is bad for her clients, so everyone can be the same and have no flaws.

Breaking news about the invasion of the smoke :

Breaking news, the Smokes are being invaded by the city. Be careful if you try to escape they are really fast and they are not afraid to stop you and defend them self. If you get caught be aware that you’ll probably not get away or even survive. Their goal is to capture every single one of us. If you want to have a chance to survive you need to be prepare and equip and make sure to watch your back.

Breaking news about the fall :
Once upon a time, two rebels who escaped during the attack of the enemies in our city, the Smoke named Tally and David, became heroes for a night. They succeeded to deliver the hostages that were captured during the attack of the Special Circumstances. They handled to infiltrate special divisions and their goal was to save all the smokies. Luckily, they succeeded and saved them all! Surprisingly, this was planned for a couple of days now, because the new pretty town police was aware about it and find out that accomplices of uglie ville were involved in the project. The Special Circumstances are now caught and it’s probably the beginning of the fall.

Conflicts :
The first conflict in the book is man vs. self (Tally vs. herself). Throughout the book Tally sees herself as someone who’s ugly and she’s always putting a fight against herself. Even tho Shay, David kept telling Tally that she was beautiful and that real beauty isn’t what the society is showing she still thinks that she’s ugly. The second conflict is man vs. society (Tally vs. society) because society is the one who is telling Tally that she is not beautiful and when she found out what the surgery really did she didn’t want to get it anymore because she was against what they did.

Themes :
In uglies, we can find a lot of different themes. In my opinion, I think that that the two principals and important are friendship and appearance. Friendship because it’s the opposite side of loneliness and when you have people to talk about your problems and your life. To have people to laugh and have fun with, you feel less lonely. In Uglies, no one wants to be a solitaire, everybody wants to have friends. Appearance is another important theme because a lot of situations in this book involves people arguing over prettiness vs ugliness. At the end of the book, it is confusing because if we are supposed to learn that appearance doesn’t matter, why does Tally decides to do the pretty surgery anyway.

Antagonist :
An antagonist is someone who is always trying to harm, usually, the protagonist of the story. In the book the antagonist is Dr. Cable because she the one that sent Tally to snitch the Smokes and bring back Shay but she knew that the trip to get there was one of the hardest and she also knew that Tally could die but she blackmailed/force her to go even tho she knew it was really dangerous.

Protagonist :
A protagonist is usually the main character of the book. The protagonist character in Uglies is Tally. She’s the main character and in almost every situations of the book are connected to Tally.

Write a short book recommendation/review :
Uglies is great book and I recommend it to everybody. I think that this book is a story that we hear a lot because it’s about how beauty is important in the society but the author was able to make the popular scenario interesting. The author really knows how to give good details and the comprehension is pretty easy. There are harder parts but it’s a fun challenge and you push yourself to understand because the book is worth the effort. The author created a delightful way to create the characters and you really feel like you know who they are. In general, Uglies is a really amazing, interesting and beautiful book. I recommend it a 100%!

Describe what you liked or disliked about part 3 :
What I liked about not only part three but the book in general was that our current world is leading to the situation in the book. We already have celebrities who are “models” for the young teenagers and they are most of them fake. They probably had surgeries and they eat a certain way and workout two or three times a day and that’s not what life’s about. It made us realize what our lives could become when were older and personally, I would never want to live in a world like in the book. Everyone are always judging each other and there’s always prejudice’s about the uglies and pretties. What I disliked about part three is that Tally left David for Shay. I find that David was putting so much efforts in their relationship and to make her feel comfortable. I was disappointed that she left him for Shay after all they had build together.
