A little fun fact about me is that I am an only child, but life is not as lonely as many people think. Although I may be missing out on some of the experiences of having siblings, I never felt the need to ask for siblings because my parents showered me with all the love they could provide, and it is more than I could ask for. They are my best friends and #1 supporters. I love them with all my heart.

My junior high school best friends. They were all with me through all the craziness I experienced in this life. Life wouldn't be fun without my friends. From the most exciting parts to the lowest days, they were always there for me, cheered me up, and made me laugh until my tummy and jaw hurt. Since I don't have siblings, God gave them to accompany me on this rough journey of life.

Destined Friendship

Unexpected. The one word that describes our friendship is unexpected because of how we randomly matched each other's vibe, and suddenly we're all inseparable. We almost do everything together, and there's not a boring second when I am with them. We try to make every moment worth it since we have a few months left before we leave and go to different colleges. Without them, my senior high school life would be much more stressful and less exciting.

One of my hobbies is playing volleyball. I am not that good at it, but it is what I enjoy doing. I was a varsity volleyball player in my junior high school. During Ignite 2025, I played volleyball in the Paris Cluster as the libero. We were the champions in the volleyball girls, and I got the best libero award.

My favorite subjects are science-related, specifically Biology. I enjoy learning about how our body works, which is why I want to pursue a medical-related profession. I want to be able to treat diseases and help other people to stay healthy.

Infancy

In the early years of my life, I was told that I was a chubby baby who loved staying up late but didn't cry a lot. Since I have a huge age gap with my other cousins and am an only child, all the love and attention were on me—my cousins loved to tease me, my aunts and uncles enjoyed watching over me, and of course, my parents adored me. A little fun fact about me is that I am very adventurous—when I was one year old, I rode a zipline with my dad!

Toddler Years

As my toddler years began, I learned how to talk, and I've never stopped talking since. Aside from that, I also learned how to walk and run around our house, making my family members chase after me. Moreover, when I started eating solid food, my uncle loved cooking and feeding me vegetables like pumpkin, which has remained one of my favorite vegetables to this day.

Preschool Years

During this stage of my life, I was already attending preschool and making friends at school. I remember being thrilled to go to school, play with my friends, and learn to read and write. When I started going to school, my parents told me that I used to color everything in my color book purple, regardless of the object, because it was my favorite color.

Another fun fact: my parents already enrolled me in ballet classes at this age, and I enjoyed attending them!

Elementary School Years

Back in elementary school, I was the outgoing and sporty type of girl. I used to play a lot of sports, like gymnastics, swimming, badminton, and volleyball—I was also a part of a choir and got to compete in Singapore. Every recess and lunch break, my friends and I loved playing around the school, and these are when the best memories are made. Life during elementary school was all about being carefree and enjoying.

Adolescence

Upon entering the adolescent stage, reality hit me—hard. I realized a lot of things, got to know myself better, and learned how I fit into the world around me. During this stage, I began to build the confidence to step out of my comfort zone and explore various experiences, such as taking on leadership roles and participating in sports events. Despite all the growing responsibilities and constant challenges, I always leave room for all the fun and excitement life could offer. Most importantly, I learned that growing up doesn't mean losing joy—it just means learning how to balance everything life throws at you.

To my future self,

Hi! How have you been? Is med school hard? Do we still have time to go out with friends and have fun? How are mom and dad? Do we still keep in touch with our junior and senior high school friends? I have loads of questions I've been meaning to ask you, but I guess I'll keep this one short.

If you're reading this years from now, I hope you're doing great and that life is treating you well. I know you're working hard to reach our dreams, and I am so proud of you for that! It is important to stay committed to our goals in life, but always remember to take a rest from time to time and to take good care of yourself, okay? Having Personal Development as a subject helped me a lot, especially in getting to know myself better. Through this subject, I got to understand how and why I act and think about certain things. Moreover, one thing that stuck in my mind after learning about all the lessons was that love comes in many ways and forms. This then brings me to my top 2 favorite topics, which are the topics about love and career. The topic about love helped me in strengthening my relationship with others more, while the topic about career made me realize what I really want and what my heart beats for as my future career.
