Now she is 33 and running her own very successful business. As she grew up, her household consisted of her three sisters and her mom and dad. Sarah’s parents trusted her a lot and this pushed her to make her own path in life. Her dad was a successful business owner himself and from a young age, his ideology made a huge influence on Sarah. Her parents both worked extremely hard throughout her childhood. This taught Sarah to have a great work ethic. She wanted to be just like her dad, running her own business. After 4 years at Gannon University she received her BSN in nursing. She spent a few years working at UPMC in Pittsburgh. Sarah later decided to further her education and become a Nurse Practitioner.

She has a lot of respect and a love for the elderly. It became Sarah’s dream to see these folks finish out their lives in the best way possible. Sarah opened Seguin Nursing, an old age home where people who don’t feel comfortable living on their own can come in and have a sense of community. She decided that this would be a very happy place where people can express themselves. Seguin Nursing is really more like a nice hotel. They have lots of bright colors to cheer up the residents. They can interact amongst themselves and play games in the lobby. There is a nice 4 foot deep pool to have water aerobics classes for the seniors. All of the nurses are super nice and qualified, so they can create a great environment for these folks to enjoy the last chapter of their lives.

Learning about her grandfather’s experience sparked her interest in history. Her history teacher, Mr.Carr was her favorite teacher throughout high school and managed to have classes with him for all four years. Some of the patients she works with have a very rich history and one even served in the war with her grandfather. Carl is 88 years old now, but he was drafted into the war at 18 with Sarah’s grandfather. Carl and Sarah’s grandfather became friends wile serving together in the war. When they came back home, they remained friends and Sarah played with Carl’s grandchildren as a little girl. He was a family friend and didn’t want to spend that last chapter of his life struggling on his own. She has created an environment that is great for the aging population through her business. She deeply cares for all of her patients and strives to give them better lives. Her family taught her many important lessons in life and were great influences from a young age. Sarah also had some great influences in life like Mr.Carr and her childhood friends. All of these experiences and people molded her into the great and successful woman she is today.
