     The word is related to the story because they are always constantly having to carry things

2. Quizzically 
     Def:usually means puzzled or questioning, though it can also mean confused, surprised, comical, or mocking.
      Quote:" Bear looked at me quizzically." (Hirsch 71)
      This word is important because it lets the reader know that Cal and Bear can communicate well with each other and that Bear can show his expressions.

3. Skittered 
     Def: move lightly and quickly or hurriedly.
      Quote: " The club skittered away from me." (Hirsch 42)
This word is important because the characters always have to move quickly to get away and lightly to not leave a trace.
