         <description><![CDATA[<div>This Cartoon is from Leslie Gilbert Illingworth, a political cartoonist who worked for a newspaper company now known as Daily Mail. This cartoon was printed in the punch magazine. His cartoon depicts the events of June 17, 1940, when France surrendered to Germany, and how these vents lead to the signing of an armistice. The armistice agreement shown in this photo was signed on June 22nd, and went into effect on June 25th. More then half of France was then occupied by the Germans.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

The fact that this article was published by an esteemed website who also went through another well-known company helps ensure its reliable, as well as the author/s of this article are people with historical knowledge and experience with writing historical articles</div>]]></description>
