Today marks the beginning of my internship journey at Micron. Upon arrival, I was gathered with other new hires in lobby building 2. On 9a.m. sharp, we were guided to MMP multipurpose hall on level 5 to start our orientation.

The orientation started with an introduction to Micron's rich history. I learned about the key milestones and achievements that have shaped the company into what it is today. The session covered Micron's mission and vision, emphasizing the company's commitment to innovation and excellence. The host also brief us about the overview of Micron's business areas and flagship products of our company.

The next session outlining essential HR policies that govern employee conduct and benefits. I was introduced to Micron's vibrant company culture, which fosters collaboration, diversity, and continuous learning. Clear expectation regarding employee behavior, performance standards, and professional development were discussed, ensuring alignment with the company's values and goals.

Besides that, I received a briefing on Micron IT support portal as well, integral to daily operations at Micron. Security protocols were explained to ensure the protection of sensitive information and compliance with company policies. In this session, I was assisted in configuring my Micron account access, ensuring I can seamlessly integrate in to the digital workspace.

The next session contain the overview of Micron's organizational structure. It helped my understand the hierarchy and key departments within the company. The salary structure and benefits were explained, highlighting the compensation and various perks offered. Wellbeing programs and resources were discussed, emphasizing Micron's commitment to employee health and benefit. The 30, 60, 90 goal planning framework was introduced, assist me to set and achieve my initial objectives.

Last but not least, the identification badge was distributed, which will grant me access to various areas within the facilities. I also handed a laptop along with all necessary accessories, such as monitors, headphones, mouse and keyboard, ensuring I have the tools needed to complete my work efficiently. There are also free gifts offered such as a bag lunch box to all new hires.

Finally, the orientation end and I had met with my launch buddy, Miss Pang Huey. We had a simple greet to know each other well. After that, she help me to bring those working accessories and provide guidance to my belonged working place.

The second day began with an orientation as a new member of the MMP team. The session started with an introduction to the MMP Site Core Requirements, which are essential for maintaining high standards and efficiency. I learned about the sticker administering procedure, which ensures proper identification and tracking of equipment and materials. This orientation also explained 6S methodology, emphasizing the importance of sorting, setting in order, shining, standardizing, sustaining, and safety in our work environment. Additionally, the training on cleanroom protocols and Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) procedures also been demonstrated due to crucial for protecting sensitive electronic components.

After the orientation, I had the opportunity to meet the CSO team members. This meet-up was a great chance to connect with colleagues from different departments, share experiences, and build a network within company.

The day continued with a welcoming session led by department manager and my internship supervisor. They introduced themselves, briefing about my internship journey and offering advice and encouragement.

Today, I dedicated time to exploring the learning and information resources available in the company cloud database, such as Workday and Micron University. This vast repository contains valuable materials, including training modules, company policies, and technical documentation.

Next, my launch buddy has brief about the CSO department's organizational structure. This overview provided clarity on the hierarchy, key roles, and responsibilities within the department.

After that, I had the chance to connect with my colleagues during lunch in a more informal setting. This was a great opportunity to build relationships and know each other more at Micron. The relaxed atmosphere made it easier to share stories and advice, fostering a sense of friendship and teamwork.

In the afternoon, my launch buddy and department colleagues bring me on a tour of the office and facilities. This tour highlighted important areas such as canteens, gym facilities, meeting rooms and key operational zones. This tour was instrumental in familiarizing myself with the physical layout of the company.

7:30a.m., my department and I attended the Global OM Meeting. This meeting brought together team members from various locations to discuss overarching strategies, updates, and goals. Below are the key takeaways,

• Order Management FY25 Priorities

Following the meeting, I submitted a request for access to the SAP system. This system is essential for me to perform my tasks more efficiently and integrate seamlessly into the workflow.

In the afternoon, I completed a refresher course on MMP 6S Standards & Alignments in the Workday system. This course reinforced the principles of sorting, setting in order, shining, standardizing, sustaining, and safety.

To wrap up the day, I also participated in the Global ESD Awareness training course that assigned to me in the Workday. This training emphasized the critical procedures for handling electrostatic discharge (ESD) to protect sensitive electronic components.

Today, I complete the Environmental Compliance and Awareness training in Workday. This training emphasized the importance of adhering to environmental regulations and best practices to minimize our impact on the environment. The topics included ensuring that all employees are aware of their responsibilities in maintaining environmental compliance.

After that, I attended the CSO onboarding orientation led by Miss Wendy. She provided a comprehensive overview of the Customer Sales Operations (CSO) department, including its mission, key functions, and organizational structure. This session was invaluable in understanding how the CSO team supports Micron's goals and contributes to customer satisfaction.

In the afternoon, I sent an email inviting colleagues to review the required documents for the UUM Practicum. This step is crucial for ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed and approved, facilitating a smooth practicum process.

To wrap up the day, I participated in an informal training session on Outlook. During this session, I learned how to create a Micron email signature, ensuring my emails are professional and consistent with company branding. In addition, I was taught how to add Zoom meeting invitations to emails, making it easier to schedule and manage virtual meetings.

This day marked the beginning of my CSO Basic Training. The day started with an Introduction to CSO and OM. This session provided a detailed overview of the Customer Sales Operation (CSO) and Order Management (OM), explaining their roles, responsibilities, and how they contribute to Micron's success.

Following that, I proceed with the SAP system setup with the guidance provided. This involved configuring my access to the SAP system, which is essential for managing business processes such as inventory, procurement, and financials.

Subsequently, the CSO Global Process Guide Updated was provided for more details information about CSO. This guide outlines the standardized procedures and best practices for CSO team, ensuring consistency and efficiency across global operations.

Besides that, the training also included the overview of Micron Calendar. This calendar is crucial for keeping track of important dates, meetings and deadlines.

At the end of the day, I complete the launch buddy report. This report documents my progress and experiences during the onboarding process, providing feedback and insights that can help improve the onboarding experience for future new hires.

I continued with the CSO Basic Training. Today's focus was on understanding the Lead Time Guideline. This guideline is crucial for managing customer expectations and ensuring timely delivery of products and services. Next, I learned about the Daily Work Routine. This session outlined the typical tasks and responsibilities that I will be handling on a daily basis, such as proactively check incompletion status of orders, OF backlog report daily download and incoterms as well.

In the afternoon, I dedicated time to self-learning the CSO Guide Procedure -VA01. This procedure is essential for processing sales orders within the SAP system. I studied the step-by-step instructions and practiced using the system. This self-learning session was invaluable in building my confidence and competence in using SAP system effectively.

Today started with the CSO Basics Training Day 3. The focus was on understanding Audit Parameters. This session provided detailed information on the criteria and standards used for auditing processes within the CSO department. It emphasized the importance of maintaining accuracy and compliance in all operations.

Next, Miss Dolly who is the trainer provide guidance about OM WW Backup Document. These backup documents contain the customers' information to ensuring continuity in case of system failures.

Later in the day, i joined a Zoom meeting where Mr. Ramu Iyer, the Vice President of MMP, briefed us on the latest site updates and key focuses. He shared insights into current projects, strategics goals, and upcoming initiatives.

Today, I continued with the CSO Basic Training. The focus was on further developing my understanding for the product status, order type, order entry process and SAP business workflow.

• Product Status: Understanding the product status of the Micron Part Number, such as New Product Intergration, High Volume Manufacturing, End of Life and so on.

• Order Type: Learning about different types of the orders and how they are processed within the system.

• Order Entry Process: Detailed intructions on how to enter orders into the SAP system.

• Order Confirmation and MAD Alignment: Learning to check and ensure that all necessary information is provided and the order meets the required criteria.

In the afternoon, I had a briefing with Miss Azzah regarding the MMP 6 month Internship Program. She provided detailed information about the program's structure, objectives and expectations. This program includes orientation, technical training, soft skills workshops, and project- specific training. Interns will work on projects related to their field of study with the assistance of their buddy and supervisor. The project will offer hands-on experience and opportunities to apply their knowledge in Micron real-world scenarios. Subsequently, interns will present their projects to Micron management team in the nearing end of the internship.

Today, I started with CSO Basic Training Day 5 with Mr Vamsee. In today's training, I learned about setting up new "Sold to" and "Ship to" address. Besides that, I learned about SAP transactions to creating new Sold-to/ Ship-to entries as well, following with editing entries and viewing entries.

Besides that, Mr Vamsee also guide me to check and view the reports which technically related to the parts in case customer ask to provide.

After lunch, I dedicated time to self-learning the CSO Guide Procedure- VA02. This procedure is essential for reviewing and editing sales orders within SAP system. I studied the step-by-step instructions to ensure fundamental knowledge of SAP has consolidated.

At the end of the day, I gained access to CSO cloud databases which related to Global Supply Chain with the assistance of my buddy. These databases contain valuable resources and information that will support my work in the CSO department.

After lunch, I attended CSO Basic Training Day 6, led by Miss Dolly. This session continued to covered several topics, including:

• RMA (Failure Analysis): Understand the Return Material Authorization (RMA) process, which involves analyzing failed products to determine the cause of failure.

• Type of RMA: Learning about different types of RMA, such as Return of Goods, Invoice Corrections and so on.

• Procedure of RMA: Detailed instructions on the RMA procedure, including how to initiate an RMA request and process the returned materials

In the end of the day, I learned how to book a meeting room with the help of my launch buddy. This process is essential for scheduling meetings and ensuring that I have the necessary space and resources for discussions and collaborations.

After that, I had a detailed discussion with my supervisor about my 30 day goal planning. We focused on four main areas which is business orientation, local team connection, culture mastery and SAP system training.

In the afternoon, I had CSO basic training day 8 with Mr Vamsee. Today's training is covered about the process for auditing and managing order settings within Micron's enterprise system. It emphasizes the importance of correct order settings to ensure efficient order processing and compliance. The goal is to streamline the audit process, improve order accuracy, and enhance overall system efficiency.

The next topic covered in the training is Pricing Policy in Micron. This topic outlines changes to Micron's quote-to-order process to improve efficiency and scalability. Key changes include aligning quotes with orders, enhancing sales order time to commit, and better managing supply and demand. The new process aims to optimize product pricing, empower sales negotiations, and improve customer service.

After that, I attended Day 8 of the CSO basic training with Mr. Vamsee. The topic is literally outlines the implementation of the Customer Supply Support Tool System at Micron. It details the transition from manual processes to the automated allocation tool, aiming to improve efficiency in handling customer support requests and supply chain planning. The goal is to reduce manual efforts, improve response times, and ensure better alignment between sales, demand management, and supply chain operations.

Today, i had enrolled in the CSO Basic Training Day 9. This training is focus on Micron Physical Hubs. Micron has establish Physical Hubs across the globe. These hub located within proximity customers' factories or ODMs and enable customer to pull their inventories without waiting for transit and manufacturing lead times.

Besides, I'm also done the e-learning task assigned in the Workday before due date.

Today is the day 1 of New Hire Bootcamp Training i had attend. In this training, I had learned how to navigate Workday Learning to complete required courses and self-enrolling in unassigned training. I also explored Percipio and Micron University for self-paced personal development, where I can choose courses based on my interests and learn at my own pace.

Next, I reviewed the backend assembly process in semiconductor manufacturing. I also learned about cleanroom classifications, where Class 1k is used for early-stage processes and Class 10k for later stages like encapsulation and singulation. The process flow emphasized quality control at each stage to ensure reliable semiconductor packaging.

Besides that, I also learned the burn-in process, which uses equipment like Burn-In Boards and ovens to stress components and ensure reliability. The test process involves complex flows using testers and handlers to verify product functionality, with efforts focused on reducing complexity and improving efficiency. The post-electrical process ensure quality and traceability before shipment.

Last but not least, I explored the advantages of SSDs over hard disks, particularly in speed and reliability, and learned about different interfaces like SATA and PCIe-NVMe. I studied the SSD assembly process as well. The MSB plant builds various SSD types—consumer, enterprise, automotive, and custom modules—with optional steps like selective soldering and underfill. Emphasis was placed on product testing, configure-to-order processes, and traceability tools to ensure quality and accountability.

I had attending the Bootcamp Training Day 2. Today's training is briefly talk about the tool used to log and track equipment status based on SEMI E10 standards, with states like Productive, Standby, and Engineering. It is accessed via Micron Central and features a user-friendly layout with query tools, equipment details, and logging functions. I explored how to perform queries, update equipment status (individually or in batches), and use the Details Panel for notes, event codes, and checklists. The system supports traceability, user permissions, and includes training resources to ensure proper usage.

Besides that, this training expose about how to use the software for statistical process control, including accessing the platform, viewing SPC channels, and handling out-of-control (OOC) points with proper commenting and eCAP (Electronic Corrective Action Plan). I reviewed key terms like LDS and CKC, explored the system’s layout and menu functions, and learned how to monitor and respond to violations.

Today, I participated in a voluntary activity at Pusat Jagaan Suria, Bayan Lepas, which was a meaningful opportunity to support the local community. I also joined a team-building session with the NPO team, enhancing collaboration and trust. During Boot Camp Day 3, I learned about the 8D problem-solving process, focusing on root cause analysis and corrective actions, and explored the principles of safety, quality, and 6S, emphasizing consistency, SOP compliance, and continuous improvement. Additionally, I studied Statistical Process Control (SPC), including control charts, variation types, and the OCAP response mechanism to maintain process stability and quality.

In the New Hire Bootcamp Training Day 4, I explored "The Goal", a business novel that introduces the Theory of Constraints (TOC) and emphasizes continuous improvement. The story follows Alex Rogo, a plant manager, guided by his mentor Jonah, as he learns to identify and manage bottlenecks to improve productivity. Key concepts include the importance of throughput, inventory, and operational expense, and the Five Focusing Steps of TOC. Practical tools like the Herbie hiking analogy, dice game, and real-life examples help illustrate how managing constraints can lead to better business outcomes.

After that, I also complete the e-learning task required in the Workday within the due date.

Today began with my first Dell Weekly Checkpoint Meeting, where I had the opportunity to be introduced to the Dell CSO team members. The meeting focused on sharing the latest updates and key information relevant to Dell customers. A major discussion point was the strategy to mitigate the impact of tariffs on our products, which provided valuable insights into Dell’s proactive approach to global challenges.

Later in the day, I spent time revisiting the Order Entry process using the SAP system. This revision session was particularly helpful in clarifying previous misunderstandings and strengthening my grasp of the workflow.

To wrap up the day, I successfully completed an e-learning module assigned in the Workday system, ensuring it was submitted well before the deadline.

2. Workday: CSO Backlog Management part 1

From the start of the day, I had review the email that shared visibility to me. This email is about how Micron ensure supply to fulfill customers demand, by effective communication with planning team and demand analyst team to ensure the allocation has been upfront prepare base on customer forecast. First, we have to confirm with our planning team that we have the allocation across whole supply chain to support our customer's demand in the certain month. Without any concern, the process will proceed to our Supply Demand Analyst team to add allocation of certain parts in the month needed. With the available allocation for supply, we can finally commit our ETA to our customers.

In the afternoon, I had a self-study session regarding CSO Backlog Management. As CSO daily routine task, we have to identified the reason behind of every current incomplete order. We can check the status in the SAP system, and seek support from interconnected team member with the purpose of complete the order on time.

Today, I continue my self-learning session which titled "Hub Management" on Workday Training System. Undeniably, the workday system is a good learning resource to let a new joiner gain knowledge effortlessly. For hub management, this lesson taught me about the concept and the function of the physical hubs. The concept of physical hubs involves shipping parts to strategically located hubs near customer sites, allowing customers to quickly access needed inventory. These hubs operate under blanket purchase orders with large, forecasted quantities over a set period, ensuring demand certainty. Managed by the customer, Micron’s role is to ensure inventory accuracy. Additionally, “freshness clauses” define how long parts can remain in the hub before they must be returned.

During my 1:1 session with my supervisor, I reflected on the recent bootcamp and 10-day training, which provided a strong foundation in understanding the CSO role, especially in areas like SAP usage, order management, and customer interaction. I shared how the hands-on tasks have helped me apply what I’ve learned, particularly in tracking customer demand, categorizing monthly supply needs, and reviewing purchase orders for accuracy. Overall, I feel I’m progressing well in my internship, gaining confidence in my responsibilities, and becoming more familiar with the tools and workflows involved.

Today, I completed a series of self-learning modules in Workday, which included the Kaizen Overview, Distracted Walking and Stairwell Safety Awareness Training, Live Safe for Team Members, and Quality Mindset. These sessions provided valuable insights into continuous improvement practices, workplace safety, and the importance of maintaining a proactive and quality-focused approach in daily operations. Each module contributed to building a stronger foundation for working effectively and safely within the organization.

Today, I reviewed the documents shared regarding the Dell account, which included an overview of the Dell Business Unit (BU) and a summary of Fiscal Calendar Events. These materials provided a clearer understanding of Dell’s organizational structure, key business timelines, and how the support team aligns with Dell’s operational goals. This review helped me better grasp the expectations and planning cycles involved in supporting the Dell account effectively.

Today, I began working on one of the Dell segments as part of my weekly task execution. My supervisor and senior team members provided a detailed briefing and walked me through the order entry process specific to this segment. Although I had previously learned the general process, I realized that each customer account can have unique procedures depending on their individual agreements. Following the briefing, I was assigned several purchase orders to process, allowing me to apply the theoretical knowledge I’ve gained during my internship. This hands-on experience is valuable in bridging the gap between practical execution and my current understanding, helping me build greater confidence and accuracy in handling real tasks.

Today, I was assigned a rescheduling training task to gain hands-on experience for the CSO role. Specifically, I tracked customer demand based on the provided forecast and categorized the required quantities for each month. This training is crucial to ensure I can accurately determine the appropriate supply levels for our customers.

In addition, I conducted a comprehensive review of all assigned purchase orders (POs), verifying the accuracy of quantities, delivery dates, and supplier commitments.

Today, I had an informal discussion with my launch buddy, where we discussed my feeling within this internship journey, shared experiences, and exchanged tips for adapting to the work environment. Next, i have share some requirement about the logbook require by university and together discuss about how to make improvement about e-logbook to make this progress more efficient and effective. Next, i also update about my involvement in the Micron 6-month internship program, such as upcoming milestones and expectations.

2. April trade training for CSO

Today, I had a quick discussion with Miss Azzah, which provide explanation and clarifications about the current progress for my project. Beside that, i participated in the April Trade training for CSO, which the latest policies updates and adjustment for tariffs and shipment enquiries.

Today, I attended an Excel tutorial session at Micron University, where I enhanced my skills in spreadsheet functions, data organization, and basic analysis tools. This will support my efficiency in handling data-driven tasks. I also completed a revision of the CSO Basics 10-day training, reinforcing my understanding of customer service operations, key responsibilities, and best practices for supporting internal and external stakeholders.

I attended a training session conducted by Catherine, where I learned about CSSD VHUB booking processes. I had learn about decision making on the amount, date and others determining factors while booking the ZVHB orders.

I attended a motivational talk titled "The 5% Moment: Elevate Your Game", which emphasized the importance of visibility and mindset in personal and professional growth. The speaker highlighted how our inner voice can either empower or hinder us, encouraging us to embrace the positive and reject the negative. Key takeaways included the idea that success isn't just about hard work—it’s about making that hard work visible during critical moments. I also learned the value of team collaboration over individual struggle and the importance of actively seeking opportunities rather than waiting for them. The session inspired me to connect more personally with colleagues and be more intentional in showcasing my contributions.

This week, I updated my progress for the 6-month internship program, reflecting on the skills and knowledge gained so far. I also attended a training session conducted by Hui Ling, where I learned about DRAM and ESSD order booking processes. I had learn about decision making on the amount, date and others determining factors while booking the orders.

This week, I reviewed and deepened my understanding of ZVHB booking, as well as the processes related to CSSD and DRAM. This revision helped reinforce my knowledge of different product categories and their respective booking procedures, ensuring greater accuracy and confidence in handling these tasks within the SAP system.

Today, I had revise back the knowledge and tutorial Hui Ling taught. This revision more emphasize on the details that I might not catch up during the live demo and tutorial. This help me to consolidate the understanding regarding the ZVHB DRAM and ESSD booking process.

Today, my supervisor had brief me about the project direction, including the background, problem statement, and objectives. This discussion provided clarity on the project's purpose and scope, helping me better understand my role and the expected outcomes as I move forward with the tasks.

This week, I participated in a meeting with Rashmi and my supervisor to discuss the Dell EMMC transition, which brief me about the segment they will pass to me. Miss Azzah had provide some valueable insight and perspective regarding with the project. Additionally, I volunteered in an e-sports event, contributing to team efforts and gaining experience in event coordination and teamwork.

This week, I had a valuable discussion with my buddy and supervisor, which helped me gain a clearer understanding and alignment on the overall project concept. Additionally, I had some hands-on experience on creating standard order bookings using the SAP system based on the PO assigned.

This week, I completed the Global Trade Compliance e-learning module in Workday, which deepened my understanding of international trade regulations. I also verified that the orders booked last week were accurately reflected in the backlog, during which I identified and learned from a mistake I made—strengthening my grasp of the standard order booking process. Additionally, I joined the W3GMW Teams Group, and had a offline introduction with internal stakeholder and customer.

I also learned how to align the Customer Requested Date (CRD) using SAP based on the new request date in the weekly reschedule file, enhancing my understanding of supply planning and system coordination.

Today, I completed e-learning modules on key professional topics including global supply chain management, Little’s Law in operations, workplace violence prevention, and anti-bribery and corruption policies. These sessions enhanced my understanding of efficient business practices, workplace safety, and ethical standards.

I then reviewed and analyzed an email regarding order confirmation, which included several key actions: submitting an urgent supply request, updating the product status to reflect current availability, and initiating a request approval for LTB order. In the afternoon, I was given a valuable hands-on opportunity to book virtual hub orders for Dell Server for the month of July. This practical experience was essential in validating my understanding and applying the knowledge gained from previous training sessions. Although I had undergone several training modules on virtual hub order booking, real-life cases still presented new questions and challenges. I’m grateful to my supportive seniors and colleagues who guided me through the process and helped clarify my misunderstandings.

During the session, I discovered that I’m unable to send my rescheduling file to customers via external email. This issue has unfortunately prevented me from completing my weekly tasks independently. As a result, I reached out to the IT team member who previously handled my email issues before to get an update on the situation.

At the end of the session, my senior introduced a new topic to help me become familiar with the customer support plan. This included learning about the setup of the sales forecast and monthly allocation. Through this session, I gained a better understanding of how the CSO determines the order quantity for each order.

This morning, I followed up with the IT team regarding the external email access issue. I reached out to check on the progress and to see if any updates or solutions had been implemented. Resolving this matter is crucial for me to carry out my tasks and performance effectively.

After lunch, I began retrieving actual transit lead time data from each forwarder for every shipment in FQ3. This data serves as the foundation for my project, which involves conducting a trend analysis to identify the underlying reasons behind these trends.

After completing the retrieval of actual lead time data for the last quarter, I proceeded to gather freight forwarder data for each shipment from 2022 to 2025. This three-year dataset represents the full scope of my project. By analyzing this data, we can identify the strategies the company has implemented particularly decisions to switch freight forwarders in order to align with its goals and objectives.

Today, I initially planned to participate in a blood donation event in Micron. However, during the health screening, I was advised not to proceed due to high hemoglobin levels. While I was eager to contribute, I understand the importance of prioritizing health and safety in such situations.

In the meantime, I continued refining the ZVHB booking procedure draft. To ensure its accuracy and effectiveness, I actively sought feedback and suggestions for improvement. This input will help me finalize a more comprehensive and user-friendly version of the procedure.

Today, our department team were having lunch session with our CSO’s visiting director from Tokyo. It was a valuable opportunity to connect informally, exchange insights, and gain a broader perspective on our regional and global operations.

After that, we have a full team meeting where we discussed the current situation and the challenges we are facing. The session provided a platform for open dialogue, alignment on priorities, and brainstorming potential solutions as a team.

I also had a one-on-one session with the director, where we discussed my current responsibilities, progress on ongoing projects, and areas for development. The conversation was insightful and helped me better understand expectations and opportunities for growth.

I really acknowledged and appreciated her effort, especially as she was handling this during a business trip.

On 2 July 2025, I prepared a set of questions to ask the hub operators regarding the Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) hubs. The objective was to gain deeper insights and gather relevant information to support my internship project, which involves analyzing shipment trends and operational efficiency. The questions focused on understanding the structure, processes, and data flow within the VMI hubs, as well as identifying any potential challenges or gaps that could impact shipment tracking and reporting.

On 3 July 2025, I attended a CSSD training session focused on the Hub Order Booking Process. The training provided a comprehensive overview of how hub orders are initiated, processed, and tracked within the system. I gained insights into the key steps involved in booking orders, including data entry, validation, and coordination with relevant departments.

On 4 July 2025, I participated in the Hub Order Booking Process training session focused on the ESSD segment. This session provided further clarity on the end-to-end order handling procedures and the details different with CSSD segment. Additionally, I attended a Hub Report Refresh Training, where I learned how to update and interpret hub performance reports. This training helped me understand the data refresh cycles, key metrics tracked, and how these reports contribute to operational visibility.

• Received and review the Dell Hub 3 years shipment data

On 7 July 2025, I received the Dell Hub shipment data covering the past three years, which serves as a foundational dataset for my internship project. Upon receiving the data, I began a thorough review to assess its structure, consistency, and completeness. I focused on organizing the data by year, shipment status, and delivery timelines to ensure it could be effectively used for trend analysis.

On 8 July, I learned the ZREQ process from my senior colleague. For those ship-ahead shipment, Micron have to do price adjustment in June. So based on this situation, Micron have to provide billing documents to our customer to bill the variance price between shipment price and actual chargeable price than initially invoiced.

In the afternoon, I reviewed the official launch of the brand-new Gym Room located at Building 2, Level 5. The visit provided an opportunity to observe the newly renovated space and understand the facilities available for employee wellness. While not directly related to my internship project, this experience offered insight into the company’s efforts to promote work-life balance and employee engagement.

For today, I join a training conducted by my senior colleague which about remix of supply support. This RISE Remix Process is designed to establish an automated workflow that streamlines communication and facilitates alignment between Supply Chain Planners , Demand Management, and the Sales Business Unit . Its primary goal is to support decision-making for unforecasted orders, changes in sales forecasts, and remix requests by ensuring timely coordination and visibility across all involved functions.

After being granted access to external email, I am now able to complete my weekly tasks entirely on my own. The full cycle of my weekly task begins when I receive an email from the customer with a new requested ETA date. I then update this new date in Micron’s internal system, which generates a supply commit date that we can promise to the customer. Finally, I send this updated commit date back to the customer. With external email access, I can now handle this entire process independently.

In the afternoon, I closely monitor the KB in-transit shipments and update their delivery status on SharePoint. This is necessary because Micron has implemented a new strategy in response to recent tariff policies. This strategy significantly impacts the lead time for shipments arriving in the U.S. As part of my project objectives, I am tracking shipment lead times to observe any changes resulting from the new strategy.

Today, I began with my first review session for the daily logbook with my buddy. During this session, my buddy reviewed the entries and provided suggestions for improvement to ensure that all content and processes described are correct and accurate.

In the afternoon, I continued retrieving data needed for my project analysis. However, I encountered an issue where I was unable to retrieve actual delivery information from a certain freight forwarder for shipments delivered more than 120 days ago. I plan to report this issue to my supervisor and explore alternative ways to obtain the required data.

Today, I was assigned to gain hands-on experience with the order booking process for Dell Server, PS, and Mobility. This practical exposure is crucial for bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application. Additionally, this experience is essential for developing a comprehensive and consolidated order creation manual.

On 9 July 2025, I provided a quick update on my internship project progress to Miss Azzah, summarizing the current status of data review and current observation of dealing with the admission issue in Free Trade Zone. Later in the day, I attended a meeting where I was introduced to the new interns joining the MMP team. This session served as a great opportunity to connect with peers, exchange experiences, and foster a collaborative environment within the department.

On 10 July 2025, I attended the OR CSSD Order Booking Training. which provided a detailed overview of the booking process specific to CSSD operations. Unlike VHUB and Hub orders, OR-type orders require greater attention to detail in the purchase order, as any oversight could lead to mistakes or human errors in processing. This highlighted the importance of accuracy and thoroughness in handling OR orders.

Later in the day, I participated in a Virtual Reality (VR) tour of the Micron production site, which offered an immersive view of the manufacturing environment.

On 30 July 2025, I participated in a volunteer activity involving painting work at the Animal Shelter SPCA Seberang Jaya, continuing my contribution to community engagement efforts.

On 17 July 2025, I had a meeting with the Hub Operators to gain a deeper understanding of the Physical HUB (VMI) operations and the process summary. The discussion provided valuable insights into how VMI hubs function, including inventory handling, shipment coordination, and the differences in process flow compared to other hub types.

In parallel, I completed the drafting of the OR Order Creation Manual for both ESSD and CSSD, consolidating the steps and key considerations required for accurate order entry. This documentation will serve as a reference guide for team members as well.

On 21 July 2025, I aligned with Rashmi regarding the OR Order Creation process for both the RCI and ODM segments. The discussion focused on ensuring consistency in order handling procedures across different business segments. This alignment was crucial to avoid discrepancies and streamline the order booking workflow. It also helped clarify segment-specific nuances that need to be considered when creating OR orders, contributing to the accuracy and reliability of future transactions.

On 23 July 2025, UUM Internship Lecturer, Dr. Fadhilah had visit to Micron and having a session with me and my buddy. During the session, I showcased the presentation slides I had prepared earlier, which outlined my current job scope, daily responsibilities, and key tasks related to my internship project. The session served as a platform to reflect on my learning progress, receive feedback, and demonstrate how my internship aligns with my academic learning and goals. It was also a valuable moment to strengthen the connection between the university and the host company.

On 24 July 2025, I drafted the meeting minutes for the UUM lecturer visit session, summarizing key discussion points, feedback received, and follow-up actions. This documentation ensures that the visit is properly recorded and that any academic or operational recommendations are traceable.

In addition, I worked on consolidating the raw shipment dataset, combining multiple files and organizing the data into a unified structure. This involved cleaning, aligning formats, and preparing the dataset for further analysis and dashboard integration.

On 25 July 2025, I focused on refining the project background and problem statement for my internship report and presentation. This involved clearly defining the scope, objectives, and relevance of my project, particularly in relation to shipment delay tracking and data analysis. I ensured that the problem statement accurately reflected the challenges faced in logistics data visibility and the need for improved tracking tools. In parallel, I continued to consolidate the raw shipment dataset, organizing and cleaning the data to support accurate analysis and dashboard integration. These tasks were essential in strengthening both the technical foundation and narrative clarity of my internship project.

On 8 September, I had the opportunity to meet my supervisor in person at MMP for a final alignment session before the project presentation. I conducted several practice rounds of the presentation to ensure that the flow, content, and messaging were clear and aligned with expectations. This helped me gain confidence and refine my delivery based on feedback. Later in the day, I had the official project presentation alongside other interns. Although the presentation might not be as perfect as expected, but it was a valuable experience to showcase the work I had done on the Tableau dashboard and to observe how others approached their projects.

On 2 September, I began by updating the project timeline to reflect the current progress and upcoming milestones, Additionally, I worked on adjusting the dashboard’s data source and alignment to improve its accuracy and responsiveness.

On 3 September, I focused on evaluating the effectiveness of the new Tableau dashboard compared to the manual approach previously used for tracking KB shipments. I conducted a comparison between both methods to highlight improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and user experience. However, I found some issues for data accuracy. Instead of that, I worked on adjusting the dashboard to connect with multiple data sources, such as backlog data. I face some bottleneck on this step and this required careful alignment of fields and logic across datasets to ensure consistency.

On 4 September, I updated the latest version of the presentation slides and the Tableau dashboard to share with my supervisor. This included incorporating recent changes and improvements made to the dashboard and also feedback about the bottleneck I had faced on that stage.

On 9 September, I focused on completing the July and August entries for my internship logbook, ensuring that all activities, learnings, and reflections were properly documented. In addition, I worked on diagnosing the root cause of a data source issue affecting the Tableau dashboard.

On 28 July, I focused on drafting and refining the Order Creation manual in preparation for the final alignment. This involved reviewing the existing documentation, ensuring clarity in process steps, and incorporating feedback from previous discussions.

On 29 July, I participated in the final Order Creation (OR) alignment session with Rashmi and Min Kai. This meeting was crucial in ensuring that all stakeholders were aligned on the process flow and requirements for OR creation.

On 1 August, I had my weekly 1:1 session with my supervisor and buddy. This meeting provided an opportunity to review my progress, clarify expectations, and receive feedback on ongoing tasks. We discussed the current status of my internship project, including upcoming deliverables and areas for improvement.

On 4 August, I had my internship project review session with my supervisor, where we discussed key aspects of operational efficiency, data integration, and project scope. The review covered hub performance metrics, system error rates, and forwarder usage, along with a timeline adjustment to span from September 2022 to September 2025. We agreed to include hub inventory return and physical hub orders in the raw data and analyze hub inventory return reasons, damage occurrences, and partial deliveries. Additional enhancements such as visual impact tracking, outlier analysis, and shipment arrival issues, were also addressed. On 5 August, I conducted a lead time trend analysis focusing on four key hubs in Malaysia, China, Poland. This analysis aimed to identify patterns and outliers in shipment lead times across different fiscal months and years. By examining the data, I was able to observe variations in performance and pinpoint areas that may require further investigation or process improvement.

On 6 August, I continued the lead time trend analysis by focusing on data across fiscal years for three hubs in Vietnam and US. The objective was to identify long-term patterns, seasonal fluctuations, and any recurring outliers that could impact shipment performance.

On 7 August, I hosted a pass-down training session for the SSD order entry team, where I presented the OR creation manual that I had prepared. The session aimed to ensure alignment and understanding of the order booking process, and I received feedback to further refine the documentation. Additionally, I attempted to gain access to Tableau to support data visualization efforts for my internship project, which will be crucial for analyzing shipment and lead time trends.

On 8 August, I completed an analysis of hub locations and their respective revenue contributions to enrich the background of my internship project. This task provided a clearer understanding of the physical hubs that Micron has established across the globe and the financial impact of each hub.

On 11 August, I conducted a lead time outlier analysis using Dell shipment data. The objective was to identify unusual patterns or extreme values in lead time performance that could indicate inefficiencies or operational issues.

On 12 August, I attended the weekly internship project review session with my supervisor, where we discussed refinements to the presentation slides and deeper analytical insights. Key feedback included explaining the benefits of individual enterprises such as negotiation leverage and downstream customer impacts, updating units to billions, and enhancing visual elements like bubble charts with customer and hub logos. We reviewed lead time benchmarks by region, removed irrelevant data points, and explored courier performance trends over the past three years. Additional discussions focused on the unbalanced hub inventory consumption and physical hub inventory trends in Q2 2023, regional weightage comparisons, and aligning lead time expectations. On 13 August, I had my first go-through of the project presentation slides with Miss Azzah, where I received feedback on the content structure and clarity of visualizations. The session helped refine the messaging and improve the flow of the presentation. Additionally, I conducted a forwarder performance analysis focusing on FedEx, DHL, and SF Express, comparing their lead times and consistency across different hubs. This analysis provided valuable insights into courier efficiency and supported the broader objective of optimizing shipment operations.

On 14 August, I continued my analysis work by evaluating the performance of additional forwarders, including Morrison and domestic logistics providers. This helped expand the scope of courier efficiency comparisons across different regions. I also conducted a hub consumption analysis to understand shipment volumes and trends, followed by an inventory return analysis to identify patterns in returned goods. These insights contributed to a more comprehensive understanding of hub operations and supported the refinement of my internship project’s analytical framework.

On 15 August, I conducted an analysis on shipment partial issues to identify patterns and root causes affecting delivery completeness. This involved examining cases where shipments were split or delayed, and assessing the impact on lead time and customer satisfaction.

On 18 August, I had the weekly internship project review session with my supervisor, where we discussed several refinements to the project analysis and presentation slides. Key topics included forwarder transitions for China physical hub due to cost and performance, and US physical hub free trade zone implementation strategy impacting lead times. We also reviewed another China physical hub for forwarder diversification strategy and lastly added Europe region physical hub to the analysis. Suggestions were made to enhance visualizations, add recommendations, and explore the possibility of future changes. Outlier and partial shipment analyses were refined by converting metrics to percentages and rating forwarder performance.

On 19 August, I focused on refining the analysis components of my internship project, with particular emphasis on descriptive analysis for lead time outliers.

On 21 August, I conducted a descriptive analysis on forwarder transitions between 2023 and 2025 for physical hubs located in China and Malaysia as well by comparing localize and international freight forwarder.

On 22 August, I continued the descriptive analysis on forwarder transitions from 2023 to 2025, focusing on physical hubs in the Europe region. Additionally, I examined partial delivery issues by calculating the percentage of affected shipments and identifying possible causes such as Custom and documentation delays, container or space optimization and carrier capacity constraint.

On 25 August, I had the final go-through of my project presentation slides with Miss Azzah, where I received valuable suggestions to improve the overall flow and clarity of the presentation. Later in the day, I had weekly internship project review session with my supervisor, where we discussed final refinements and alignment on key insights.  Key feedback included emphasizing the lead time outlier analysis and clearly explaining the methodology behind identifying outliers. We discussed time zone misalignment between CSO and hub operators, which may contribute to delays. For the Tableau dashboard building, the focus was on real-time shipment tracking, lead time comparisons, and exportable data views to support operational visibility.

On 26 August, I assisted in distributing internship items such as T-shirts and jackets to fellow interns. Based on feedback received during previous review sessions, I also amended the presentation slides and refined the analysis, especially for the lead time outlier analysis. In parallel, I continued exploring Tableau functionalities to have a good kickstart on the dashboard for my project.

On 27 August, I had a 1:1 session with CSO Manager Irene, where we discussed the progress and direction of my internship project, my performance goal within my internship journey and also my opinion with feedback for this internship. I do really appreciate having this kind of session cause my work and opinion are able to recognize by superior. Later in the day, I also began drafting the Tableau dashboard, fitting the data source and outlining key components such as shipment tracking and lead time visualization.

On 28 August, I focused on two key tasks related to the Tableau dashboard project. First, I worked on drafting the summary and recommendation section, which involved consolidating insights from the analysis that I had conducted.  Secondly, I investigated a data missing issue that was affecting the accuracy of the dashboard. I analyzed the source files and identified inconsistencies in the lead time records, which led me to write a custom lead time formula to ensure the dashboard could dynamically calculate expected, in-transit, and actual durations.

On 11 September, I participated in a customer visit to Dell, which provided valuable exposure to real-world business interactions and customer engagement practices. It was a great opportunity to observe how communication and collaboration are handled between companies and clients. Later in the day, my supervisor completed the evaluation form for my six-month internship at Micron. This involved reflecting on my overall experience, the skills I developed, and the contributions I made throughout the internship period.

On 17 September, I conducted a documentation and pass-down session for the Tableau dashboard with my supervisor. During the session, I walked my supervisor through the dashboard’s logic and usage, explaining current challenges faced with the dashboard, including data source limitations and manual refresh requirements. This document hope to serve as a helpful reference for further development for the shipment tracking dashboard.

Additionally, I completed all required formalities for the documentation, including obtaining the necessary signatures and official stamp to fulfill the internship requirements.
