         <description><![CDATA[<div>One of the challenges they faced was dealing with<strong>&nbsp;unfriendly Native Americans</strong>. Because of this concern the settlers felt unsafe venturing away from their settlement. Mostly because they needed food. The second issues they faced was the&nbsp;<strong>weather</strong>. The weather was the same reason they barely had any food. It was really hard to grow crops because they were experiencing the worst droughts. The winter hit them really hard also. Many of them died because of the cold. The third one is&nbsp;<strong>Diseases</strong>. A lot of people were getting sick that they didn't a cure for back then.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Tea Act:&nbsp;</strong>The British lowered the price of tea which lead to the Boston Tea Party.<br><br><strong>Boston Tea Party:&nbsp;</strong>Colonist dresses as Indians stormed into the Boston Harbor and dumped 23 thousand pounds of tea into the Harbor.<br><br><strong>Common Sense:&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;A Book published about republicanism and independence.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Boston Massacre: &nbsp;</strong>This event was viewed an example of British Cruelty and used as propaganda, especially by Paul Revere.&nbsp;<br><strong><br>Stamp Act: &nbsp;</strong>Representatives from nine of the thirteen colonies declared the Stamp Act unconstitutional as it was a tax levied without their constant.<br><br><strong>Townsend Act:</strong>&nbsp;Taxed on products colonies needed glass, lead paints paper , and tea. The Americans boycotted , and the British eventually repealed all taxes except the one on tea.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Slavery:</strong>&nbsp;Slavery is one of the reasons because the South wanted slavery to spread around the United States but the North didn't want that.<br><br><strong>Election of Lincoln</strong>: Lincoln was elected for president in 1860. The South believed that he was anti-slavery and in favor of Northern&nbsp; interest&nbsp;<br><strong><br>Growth of the Abolition Movement:</strong>&nbsp;The Northerner's became more polarized against slavery after the book Uncle Tom's Cabin came out because it talked about what slaves go through every day, and how they get beat for doing little things.&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;<br><strong><br>States vs. Federal Rights:</strong>&nbsp;The Federal government denied states rights to determine what goes on in the state. &nbsp;<br><strong><br>Economic and Social difference between the North and South:</strong>&nbsp;Cotton became a huge deal in 1793, which meant that they would need money slaves to pluck them from the field.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Fort Sumter:&nbsp;</strong>The battle of Fort Sumter is important because it was the first battle of the American Civil War. The United States started building Fort Sumter after the war of 1812 to strength the defenses of it's southern ports.<br><br><strong>Gettysburg:&nbsp;</strong>The battle of Gettysburg is important because it stopped Confederate General Robert E. Lee's second invasion in the North. More 50,000 men dead during the three day battle, making it the bloodiest battle f the American Civil War.&nbsp;<br><br><strong>Sherman's March:&nbsp;</strong>Sherman's March is important because he demolished everything in his way. He cut off the supplies to Lee' s armies which was facing the North. He also made the Northern victory possible<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Credibility Gap between U.S. and it's Citizens is when Johnson promised the soldiers that were in Vietnam that he would bring more soldiers there. Also that Nixon allowing the army to use Agent Orange to bomb Vietnam soldiers. Meanwhile in the U.S. the students of Madison State University were not happy with it because they were the ones who made the chemical gas, and they didn't want it being used around the american soldiers or woman and children .
