The idea is that children have mailboxes where they could write letters, draw pictures, put crafts in each others mailboxes at any time. I thought this idea would be engaging for children because they can give people mail whenever (incorporating language arts into their everyday life without teacher initiative) and I can have a prompt every week and assign students to a person for positive affirmations or pictures or storytelling to make sure every student was getting mail. I thought this would be fun because I would write notes or draw pictures to put in students mailboxes as well!
