Hallucinations ~ He hears animals speaking and sees them in clothing as well as views their well-built houses, yet no one else can.
Delusions ~ He believes that these animals are his friends that can give him logical, well-thought out advice and that they need his.
Change in level of functioning ~ Being friends with animals takes away from his socialization with kids his age.
Active-phase and prodromal-periods ~ He sees the animals frequently for two months (active-phase) at a time during summer breaks and then has prodromal periods of 10 months at a time during the school year.
He does not have Schizoaffective disorder, depressive or bipolar disorder with psychotic features, ~ No mood episodes have lasted for the duration of his active-phase or residual (prodromal) periods.
Not attributed to physiological effects ~ Physiological effects include drug use or medications, but Christopher does not do drugs or receive medication that the audience is made aware of.
He meets 3/4 D's... Deviance, dysfunction, and distress (Christopher Robin becomes saddened when he has to leave his "friends" for the school year.)
