He was an artist that spoke the truth. Growing up through struggle and him working hard and making it out of the environment he was in, had a big impact on younger black kids especially because he was in poverty and a lot of black children go through that today. In his song he spoke on having peace,racism cops killing blacks and how the world is full of bull but you gotta learn how to smile through it.
