Hi! This is my ecological footprint

Honestly, I had never considered all the factors that influence our ecological footprint. I'm feeling helpless and embarrassed because lately, I've been complaining a lot about the heat and pollution, yet I'm contributing to these issues.

Currently, we are facing severe climate changes, natural disasters, water shortages, and resource scarcity, and we are not taking these problems seriously enough.

I think that it’s very important to become more conscious of this issue and, instead of constantly complaining about the consequences I should take action to better manage our resources.

I'm shocked with my results because I thought it didn't not pollute much but that is not my case and I do like to create awareness about sustainability and I try to pollute as little as posible.

I think that we are destroying our planet day by day and we need to take action now.

Nowadays i hear everywhere to take care of the planet, i know that’s something that we all have been hearing a long time ago, but now i think there’s more pollution, more waste, more fast fashion, fast food, fast everything, things that we ask for, but it looks like the really important point is lost, like we all have forgotten about the consequences of that kind of life, and things like that page worth it because at least they make us a little more aware of our damage to the planet.

It's cool to see that even though I have lots of brothers and sisters, i can see my eco footprint is lower than some of my classmates. This proves that my everyday choices can really help the environment. I'll keep making small changes keep our planet healthy.

We live on a planet full of pollution but sadly we also live in an unsafe country where good public transportation, garbage recycling, road safety education, etc. are not part of our culture. This makes our lifestyles even more polluting.

I would like to use the car less but public transportation is inefficient and dangerous, I would like to recycle garbage more but they will still mix it up when they pick it up, things like this do not benefit us as Mexicans.

I feel a little disappointed in myself, I would like to do more to reduce my footprint. I have been trying to change some habits to be more responsible with the planet but I think since I have my car I polluting more... because before I moved to public transportation.

I will try to do more things to help like change the products I use for someone eco-friendly, and try not to eat meals every day. I would like to have my garden and plant some things like potatoes and carrots. Also, I should start to recycle and do compost.

This is my ecologival footprint.

I haven´t stop to think about how much pollution I generate. It seems I generate more pollution than what I thought.

I think all the pollution we have generated has afected the earth in a bad way, the world is getting very hot and we are running out of water.

To reduce the pollution we can search for more eviroment frindly activities or ways to trasnport, use electricity, taking care of the water and other stuff

This is my result, I’m honestly disappointed about my food print, we need to be aware of the responsibility we have with this problem. I believe that living in a globalized world where many of our things come from different parts of the world makes it inevitable to pollute with the fuels we use today. Therefore, unless we switch to cleaner or renewable energies, this pollution will continue.

Unfortunately, many of us complain about climate change, and it's partly our fault for not using different means to avoid pollution. This quiz helped me understand which things I do daily negatively impact the planet, and now it's up to me to be conscious and change it.

I never would have imagined the extent of the pollution I generate to the planet. I believe it is very important to become aware of what we are doing to the planet and to make small changes that can make a big difference. I´m impressed about how our lifestyle can damage our planet. Normally when we think about pollution and ecological damage comes to our mind the images of big industries but personally, I think that big part of the problem could be our daily decisions and habits. In my case, the carbon footprint of transportation is quite bigger and normally this is because I travel a lot, mostly for work, and this makes me think a lot of the way we make business. I work on sales area so constant visits at customers facilities it´s normal and necessary. I´m sure that in the future the way to make business could change with new technologies and NEV´s.

I've realized how much I contribute to environmental issues like heat and pollution. The results from my Earth Overshoot Day calculation are quite alarming, I was not expecting this. 5.1 earths to live like me.

This excessive consumption that we are having has severe implications for our world, and both climate change and sanitary crises are increasing. For a long time I thought that there was a way for humans to revert the climate change or find ways to reduce waste, consume less energy, but now I beleive that the problem is the way we live, we treat this wolrd and all its creatures as if they belong to us but in reality, we all share the same planet and live off it. The footprint calculator exercise has helped to realize the magnitute of importance on renewable energies, use of transportation and origin of the food I eat. Also, acting as a community instead of as an individual seems to be more ecological.

The truth is that I was very surprised with my results, I honestly thought they were going to be much lower in my case, and that only shows me that for example if mine I thought it was going to be lower than in reality is that we pollute much more than we think and we do not make much awareness of how we are affecting the world and I think it should be a responsibility to try to reduce as much as we can to pollute and also see ways in which we can contribute to have a better future.

I don't really get how they calculate the results, but it I found it interesting. Even though I don't think I'm consume that much, is curious how much I'm really consuming without I feeling it. Maybe there's some changes I could make to score better in the future.

Looking at where I'm at now does freak me out a bit. There's a natural inclination to feel uneasy when confronted with the reality of our habits and their impact. But hey, I'm not thinking the world's gonna end anytime soon. There's always room to do better, but no need to panic just yet, right?

I am shocked with the results of the test, I hope it is not so accurate and that it does not actually generate all that carbon footprint, however it is clear that I need to do something to mitigate all that pollution. It scares me to think of all the other people who also generate a significant carbon footprint. I hope that, like me, more people realize the harm we are doing to the planet and that we can reverse it and continue to have quality lives.

It is indeed surprising and hard to acknowledge that our actions have such great impact on our planet, but what is most important is to recognize the size of our footprint, since, even though it seems quite hard, there are things we can do or change as of this moment.
As many of you say, if we all make small changes, there can be a great change that will benefit us all.
We have just lived an example of this when we were in lock-down during the first stages of the pandemic. Several aspects of our Ecology improved because we stopped doing what was hurting it. And, of course, it is not easy to stop progress, but as you also said, there are other ways.
