Hi All,

I am part of the Cost of the School Day Hero's. We are gathering evidence of how schools across the borders reduce the cost of the school day. The impact will hopefully be that we learn good strategies from each other which will support our families and communities. We will remove barriers to school and learning for our learners. Homework Club - Mrs Connell

Mrs Connell has given up so much of her time to provide children with a safe space to go after school to be supported with homework. Not only does Mrs Connell support children with their learning during this time, but also provides the children with a nurturing place to go, which fosters positive relationships.

Neurodiversity Sub-Group

All the ANA’s a great support for all the children and always supporting the teachers. Couldn’t have done this year without them! 😊

Mrs. Connell provides a lot of opportunity for the kids who want to take part in this after-school activity; it's popular, and there's a lovely, calm environment. There's lots of good learning involved, and it's great for H&WB as well.

Miss Prentice for being a fountain of knowledge of all things technical in the ELC. And other elc staff for being a listening ear and lovely friends

Mrs Paterson gives up her time daily before school and often at lunchtime for a group of girls who need to share thoughts and feelings. She is so nurturing and is an asset to our school.

I support children who find the hall a difficult environment a difficult place to eat. I take a wee group to support them to eat and play games to make them feel happier and more comfortable in school.

Mrs Paterson has been an amazing NQT mentor over the past year. She has gone out of her way to help with all aspects of planning, teaching and assessment, explaining and answering everything in depth and always ensuring I am feeling ok about workload and expectations. Her consistent advice and support has been invaluable to me.

I am so grateful for everything as she too navigates having her own class, commitments and home life.
