I'm Manuela Diogo and I’m a teacher of math in secondary school. I live in the beautiful Oporto city in Portugal.
I love my work and I recognize that the leadership is a difficult topic. So, I'm here to think, to meditate, to improve myself personally and professionally.

My learning objectives.

The principal reason that I’m here, is to “Gain a deeper understanding of what the shared leadership approach in education is”, and, in second place, I want to “Reflect on my role in my school and my school practice”. Finally I would like to “Understand the key role of evidence in shared leadership practices”.

Do you agree that the school leader’s main role is to grow other leaders?

I totally agree with these sentence. The formal leaders provide the opportunity for the informal leaders to come forward, just like said Ana Harris. Just all together, combining multiple knowledge and different intelligence can we improve the big and heavy organization that is de education system. 
But, how can the leader do that? Well, I’m just starting, but I think that skills of Emotional Intelligence are necessary just like skills of team building. For me, improving and motivating our people is the first step.

Work together in a growing common project is fantastic if the leader can build a team, thinking and make decisions wisely and carefully.

The previous sentence states de best quality of shared leadership but it also shows it’s risks …

- Working all together (is difficult put all on the same mind set)

- Build a team (it’s necessary knowledge, the right profile to build the “right” team)

- Wisely and carefully (the acelerated time in our schools does not allow for)
