This flower actually represents me kind of well. For example, the four o’clock kaleidoscope flower has many colors, just like I have many things going on in my life. The flower is bright, also like my life, because I like to try to surround myself with things that are positive. Watching this plant grow has been a really fun process. Just recently my plant bloomed and I was so excited! I’m even staying late after school just so that I can see it bloom and maybe even get a time lapse video. The garden overall is such an amazing way to unify the seventh grade, and to get us all working for a good cause, which also helps the environment. At first, I kind of watched people getting worked up and super excited over a plant with skepticism. I mean, my plant wasn’t super interesting to me. It was just a bunch of short leaves, which you could find anywhere in Florida. Then when my plant finally bloomed I understood their excitement. It’s so amazing to see something that you’ve checked on so often and made sure it was okay blossom into a gorgeous flower.

Climate Change! jhigh2022 https://padlet.com/jhigh2022/d4i1olfvnik0/wish/171930125 Tower gardens are really good for the environment, and I think that they could also be the basis of some more innovative and eco-friendly inventions. For example, on one website I saw this thing called a vertical seawater farm. It’s not a tower garden, but it’s like one. The way this invention should work is where there is a tall, thin, cylindrical structure with different little greenhouses attached to it. This structure, instead of expanding outwards, expands skyward. So basically seawater would humidify and cool the greenhouses, and the water would also be distilled to create freshwater. This is kind of like a super large tower garden, which could be used to feed many people. Also, this could help in places without a lot of freshwater and it won’t take up land that could be used for growing crops on the earth or for housing. Tower gardens can also help reduce climate change because with them you can grow more plants, and more plants will produce more oxygen and help filter the air for oxygen breathing creatures. Also with tower gardens there will be less need for huge tractors and things to go out and water plants and/or sow plants, because the tower garden is pretty much self-sustainable.
