Maggie most likely associates with Integration because, she'd maintained the quilt that her mother had gave to her. For example, Maggie had embraced the feel of the sedimential and such great meaning the quilt had. Deep down inside Maggie felt proud and very happy that her mom had passes down the quilt to her. Most of all, Momma made a great decision to choose Maggie than Dee to take the quilt. This is the type Maggie most likely associates with.

At the start of the story Dee was described as a sort of queen towards her family and schoolmates, she would

walk around like she's better than everyone else since she knew how to read. She would wear the most expensive
dresses. Which is why i would say she was assimilation in the beginning of the story. Then as Dee came back as
Wangero with her husband/boyfriend we can see that she is now separation. Not all a fan of glamor and luxury
anymore

I can't wait to see Mama and Maggie. Mama is going to be thrilled when she sees me. I had changed my whole entire name to Wangero Leewanika Kemanjo. I know Mama might be mad when I tell her my new name, but I want to show her how much I'm really proud of my heritages. I have a dress that's down to the ground, earrings that are gold, bracelets that dangles and make loud noises. Mama would definitely hand down the quilt to me then.

To be honest, Mama shouldn't give the quilt to Maggie. It's like Maggie is very quiet, shy, and she doesn't have pride in her heritage. See the difference between me and Maggie is that I have more pride and resentment in my heritage. On the other hand, Maggie doesn't show enough of her cultural side. So therefore, Maggie wouldn't take care nor appreciate the quilt at all.

Finally, me and my husband had arrived at Mama's house. Once, we had stepped foot in the house my husband had greeted "Asalamaliakim" to Mama and Maggie. Meanwhile, the word Asalamaliakim was going through Maggie's head. Anyhow, Mama said "Well. Dee". I had quickly corrected her and said, "No, Mama my name is not Dee it's Wangero Leewanika Kemanjo! " I mean she can call me Dee but out of respect my name for now on will be greeted as Wangero.
