Display the live capacity screen (duplicate the sheets so you can edit the kids assignment on laptop)

1) In tutorials, we manage teacher and student expectations by running as a study hall and can sometimes pull small groups for reteach/retest, whenever possible.

2) In tutorials: We require quiet work environment to respect learning

3) Attendance: We hold kids accountable to attendance (kick em out if they aren't on the list!) and also on assingment responsibilities. We cannot look up kids grades for them...they need to know what they owe. And if they waste 10-15 minutes looking it up...that is on them and they missed this opportunity.

4) For grade checks, require kids to write the teacher name AND assignment needed

5) For grade checks, we make students come up with a completed agenda AND self-serve open to verify grades and schedule appointments.

6) When we send kids to academic advisory, we have them line-up at the door and show their planner with their tutorial appointment visible before they are permitted to leave home advisory.

I have taught them to come in and get out their work. If they have nothing out, I move onto the next kid.

Our table talked about if kids are failing but those rooms are full. Different options were discussed from reaching out to teachers and asking if they can help to ask someone to come help.

I love it so much. Mandatorials is fine for me. Kids from AVID and Writing come in--I have tables for AVID and tables for Writing. A slides tells them they need to know what they need to work on and then as soon as a kid is ready, he raises his hand, I go to him and we get him set up with what he needs to do. I go as fast as I can and it's busy and sometimes hard to get to everyone, but I LOVE IT!!

A triage system where we take care of The lowest grades first and then move to the kids with higher grades.

Grade checks look different for all of us-some teachers pre schedule the kids and some have them tell them what their grades are.

When a student is absent on grade check day then we make sure to schedule them in time for advisory tutorials

Academic advisory is organized by work that needs to be completed or by subject depending on who is showing up for tutorials
