Honestly, it all depends on what you plan on doing later on in life. Some schools require that you take it and get a certain score in order to be able to get accepted into the school. However, if you plan on going to a smaller college sometimes they do not require you to take it.

If you plan on going to college that you can only get into with an ACT score of 22 or higher, or a high GPA, then yes, you probably need to take the ACT. If you're going to farm for the rest of your life, or the college you plan to attend doesn't require an ACT score, then no you don't need to take the ACT. It just depends on the college or what you want to do with your life.

Technically, no one has to take the ACT. However, you will not be accepted into many D1 or D2 colleges without one. If you are not planning on going to a college like that, then there is most likely another test that is specifically centered around the type of work you are going to be doing. To get better scholarships, you can take the ACT and raise the level of money you receive. Also, you can take it just to test your own skills.

The ACT is not for everyone. Some kids already know they are going to the work force and/or the college they will be attending does not require the ACT. However, if you are planning on going to college, I would suggest taking it. The ACT scores can help you earn scholarships to help pay for college, which is very expensive. I think that is your preference depending on your career goal.

Well, the answer to this question completely depends on what your future goals are. If you want to go to college then yes, you need to take the ACT. If your going straight to work after high school then no, you do not need to take the test. Before you decide, check into what you want to go in to and see what they say about it. My opinion is don't stress, just take the test.

Depending on what you are planning on doing post-high school, you may or may not need to take the ACT. For those planning on going to a four year university, you should probably take the ACT, for scholarships and additional money. If you do not plan on going to a university, you may not need to take the ACT.

Depending on what you want for yourself, taking the ACT is a good idea. If you are not sure what you want to go into take it just in case you need it. If you do want to go to college, taking the ACT is important if you want to apply for scholarships. Honestly, it's a choice you have to make because you know yourself and what you want better than any other person does.

You do not have to take the ACT test. Some colleges, more than less, have an option of taking your SAT test. You do not have to take the ACT if your not going to college either. Also, some schools do not require ACT scores for example Auto Mechanic schools usually do not. So if your college does not require it, do not waste the $40

If you are wanting to further your education, then take it. Taking the ACT can help you get into colleges that you are interested in and plan to attend. Your ACT can help you in many ways in your future.

Most area colleges won't accept anyone unless they have a minimum ACT score, so having no ACT score is sure to get you declined. Plus if you think college is expensive, good ACT scores=scholarships=less loans=more money for you.

I think most people have the wrong idea when it comes to life planning. Most think about what they want to do now, then in a few years, then in ten years, then their end goal. What if they did all that in reverse? By looking where they want to be in ten years and working backwards, I think the question will answer itself. Do you need to take the ACT? It depends what you want to do in the following years.

The whole purpose of the ACT is to help with poor high school kids, like me, earn scholarships and go to some colleges. By taking the ACT, it could help you in the future when you're down to your eyeballs in student loan debt. If you take the ACT, you decrease your amount of debt in the future and earn more money.

If you are planning on attending college, for most people it would be beneficial to take the ACT. Many colleges will give you academic scholarships based on your ACT score. So I would recommend taking the ACT multiple times, because a couple points could make a major difference on the amount of the scholarship.
