One of the men is the soviet union as a whole and the other is the other country's that are not part of the soviet union. I also see that the men are sitting on what it looks like bombs and that represents how they are "fighting". That also goes for how they are arm wrestling and that they are like fighting for what they believe in. The initial point for this wall is so that the other side of Germany that did NOT believe in the ways of the Soviet army and so they built up a wall to separate the two community's with different beliefs. In 1989 citizens were able to freely able to cross over the wall and swarms of people rushed to the wall to cross. Some people brought tools like a hammer and picks to physically chip away at the wall. The schools taught them this because just in case if the enemy dropped a bomb they know what to do in that time. Thank fully this war never turned into a military gun fight/ bomb fight.
Also another thin that the citizens had to go through is that they had to live in constant fear and that they have to worry about if there is going to be a bomb on their front door or not. This border was named 38th parallel because this border roughly only the latitude 38N. The Korean War started June 25, 1950 and that is when the border was ''put up''. The border was created because The soviet union took over North Korea while South Korea is refusing to be led by the soviets and so the U.S. helped them and took over South Korea. The war went on and at one point the North almost took over all of the South but America sent reinforcements over to help. This when on and on who had the upper hand. Martin Luther Kind Jr. hosted a bus boycott shortly after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat to a white man. The white reporters ignored the people of colors achievements and things the did and they did not put them into their paper. It took weeks to get news people in the boycott since they ignored them but ended up making them come over and make a newspaper on it. Remember it was a non violence protest but they were told death threats and persecution. It also included inns, hotels, car repair shops, barbers, drug stores and more. All of the places they picked out for the inns, car shops where all nice so they were happy. This book is like a place where people of color can come together and be happy and not be judged. The Green Book is green and has a bunch of names of different places where people of color where accepted at. They found out about this because a post man made this book. The book was published in 1936 by a man named Victor Hugo Green. He made this book because he was a postal carrier and he was tired of being made fun of just for being outside his home. They kids where sick and tired of the people in their home town being racist and hurting them/not treating them fairly. The kids teacher turned her back and the kids ran and she let it happen because she purposely didn't follow a rule for a better purpose. The KKK is a racist organisation that did not like the thought of the people of color to have rights. On September 15th five young girls where getting ready for an adult church service and they where in the basement. While the girls where getting ready the KKK planted bombs under the steps of the church and blew them up. The girls hid behind stuff to protect themselves but four of them ended up passing that day and one survived but was permanently blinded. Everyone was devastated that these girls passed even whites and so when they held the funeral more than 8,000 people attended it.
