<title>The first issue was Large States vs. Small states. The larger states wanted a states representatives based on the population of the state. New Jersey&#39;s plan was to create all states equal, to have equal representation in government. However, Virginia&#39;s plan was to have proportional representation, based on how many people lived in the state would mean how many representatives they get in government. They compromised by having each state have two senates and depending on the amount of people in the state, you get representatives in the House of Representatives.</title>

<title>Issue #2: How would slaves be counted in the population? The North wanted to count slaves as taxes, since The South treats them as property. But The South wants them to be included in the population of their state. So they made a compromise to include 3/5 of the slave population to be included in the population of the state.</title>

<title>Issue #3: Trade-North vs. South: The northern states were more industrial(making products) and wanted the federal government to regulate (control) trade so that the national economy could run more smoothly. The Southern states were scared that regulation of trade would interfere with their exports and stop slave trades. So, they agreed to wait 20 years to vote on the issue of banning the slave trade.</title>
