These boundaries change over a course of time by different treaties, trades, and wars, that change many perspectives and ways of life. For example, after world war 1, the european, asian, and african political map was completely different then before the war. Like the three empires, Austro- Hungarian empire, Russian, and ottoman, that struggled adjusting to the political boundary change. It took five years and many treaties to disassemble the empires.

A lot of factors come into place when dividing the earth’s surface, some of which include cooperation and conflicts between the needs and views of  different ethnic, cultural, and economic  groups.Conflicts and disputes over trade, human migration, settlement, and territorial claims, ideologies and religions, the abuse of marine and land environments,and conflict over how land, rivers, etc. is used all are a factor when the earth is divided between “informal and formal political, economic, and cultural interest groups”.Another factor would be cooperation. Disputes, resources, and the environment of the earth's surface are managed by the  cooperation between countries and organizations. Where they can discuss and work out things such as territorial, economic, and financial problems. These types of cooperation include different treaties, laws, and agreements. An example of this would be that the Great Lakes environmental issues were cooperatively maintained by Canada, the U.S., and the U.N.

Boundary conflicts and internal disputes can be seen all around the world between several cultural and ethnic groups. Conflict between culture groups ( or countries and organizations) often include disputes and tensions of the different culture/ religion ideologies and historical reasons over large or small  territories. Examples of these boundary conflicts and internal disputes ( between culture groups) would be the Kashmir border dispute between India and Pakistan and the border conflict between Algeria and Morocco. The United Nations ( or U.N.)  is an international organization where they make cooperation and world peace possible with things such as these boundary problems and internal conflicts.An example of the U.N. easing border disputes and internal conflicts would be them helping Yemen and Somalia and “looking into the status” of  Socotran archipelago and seeing if should belong to Yemen or Somalia.
