Para ello, se emplea un ovillo de lana. El grupo se coloca en círculo y se lanza el ovillo a uno de ellos (se puede pedir de manera voluntaria que uno de los estudiantes comience) y éste debe decir su nombre y lo que le gusta hacer en su tiempo libre. Tras su intervención, lanzará un trozo de estambre o hilo del ovillo a otro compañero, que hará lo mismo consecutivamente. De esta forma, se formará una telaraña compuesta por cada uno de los integrantes del grupo.
