I like the madness of his painting and the powerful colours. Sometimes his paintings are 3D which works perfectly with the design domain theme - form. I find it very interesting how he is playing with the forms in his paintings. Irish painter, his paintings are very colourful although they depict dark subject matter. I think his work would perfectly match my ideas, even though his paintings are 2D  I could give them form. I find it very interesting how he painted the faces and how he made them distorted in his paintings. I could work with this idea in my own project. I would like to create something colourful because I enjoy working with colour. But I would also like to draw attention to their mental health issues which they both suffered from and how this affected their work. I could use the theme 'form' to create a 3D shape of the paintings but also study how mental health can be formed.
