Starvation is more of a global health concern because it is something that a lot of people can't prevent for themselves without the help of others. Obesity is something that an individual could prevent themselves with dedication and determination. A project that could help with starvation is hosting a walk in many different cities to raise money just like we do for Breast Cancer Awareness. For obesity we could start out in the schools teaching all the students what obesity can lead to and showing them how to prevent obesity in themselves and their families and or having conventions/ seminars with the families after school hours and this could potentially decrease the rate of obesity around the world.

Starvation Is one of the leading causes of death today. Children worldwide are suffering from starvation. It's something that can be prevented, but most people don't think about it. A project that can help with starvation is people can donate to these foundations. We can do fundraisers to raise the money. Also obesity can be presented simply by eating right and exercising. Something that we can do to prevent obesity is at school. Kids should take P.E, weightrainingg more serious. I feel that they just need that extra push and motivation to having a better diet and lifestyle.

Starvation Is one of the leading causes of death, not just in the united states but around the world. I think if we can get more people involved locally and famous people then we can end world hunger and help feed the children who cant feed themselves. One thing we can do is just simply donate to many foundations around town or even start a foundation of our own.

Starvation effects more than 1 billion people every day. In mainly rural areas around the world , adults and their children suffer from starvation every day. They get overlooked though because with all the food that is around, you wouldn't think that somebody would have an issue with it. It can be prevented but it takes a lot of work to feed thousands of people and some people don't think they have the time to do all of that. A project that could help with starvation would be partnering up with a food company or companies and taking a portion of all the sales they make and give some of the money back to the areas that need food. Also to prevent obesity, you can get kids more serious about their health and how in shape they are because it kills a lot of people annually and it is something that doesn't have to happen if you push your yourself to stay healthy.

It is a concern world wide that cannot be prevented without some help from other countries. It will take a world wide effort to feed them but no kid should go without eating. When there are plenty of people that are overweight and have more than enough food to share with someone else.

Starvation and obesity are both serious issue worldwide. However the main difference is that they are almost opposite problems; Obesity is overeating to the point of being overweight while starvation is the lack of food and nutrients to be able to survive. People who suffer from starvation don't have access to food while people who suffer from obesity have plenty of food. In my opinion starvation is a bigger global problem because people who are starving don't have the choice to starve while people with obesity have the choice to change. They are still both serious problems and many people suffer worldwide.

Despite the fact many of us do not suffer from starvation day to day, there are dozens if not several dozen countries that do. Up to one billion people suffer from starvation world wide. Without food, it is difficult for children and adults alike to develop the body structures and metal functions we need to survive. Hunger effects the immune system and can weaken the body leaving the starving to be more prone to disease. Hunger is not a matter of not enough food being produced, it is a matter of unequal distribution of food. Because of this unequal distribution we see the divide between the first world and third world. It's amazing to me that obesity is an actual problem. As ashamed as I feel about obesity in America, I know that we need to help these people as well– even if in my opinion it is the less serious of the two. In order to prevent starvation people can donate food to local shelters or donate to charities that provide food overseas to people in need. I think it is important for people to understand how starvation effects people and so, I think it is important to hold local community events or fundraisers to raise awareness of the problem.

Because of the economy that we Americans are in there are many families that are going through starvation. What we can do to help with this is to have food drives. Also we can have multiple fundraisers that can help go towards grocery money so we can surprise them with food. Other than starvation in our country there is starvation going on in the surrounding countries around us. As a whole what we can do is help each other if you have extra of something and someone around doesn't then you could be a nice person and help out by giving them your extra. There are multiple things we can do to help each other in this world all have to do is to be willing to help.

It's sad to see a child waste food while another is starving. A way to decrease the amount of countries suffering from hunger is that almost every country that has the resource and technology needs to contribute. So basically the super the powers of the world need to help. Slowly hunger can decrease. I don't know if it will fully be gone but having it decrease is a good start.

I guess a problem with including the Superpower Countries would be that some might be reluctant to actrually help with it, or one might want something from the country they are helping.

It's crazy how we're trying to get people to stop eating so much and eat healthier, while a billion people have NOTHING to eat. We all need to come together and do something to stop this hunger. It's not going to happy fast, but baby steps are better than no steps at all. Countries should help one another, the most developed countries such as the US, Canada, UK should help lesser developed countries and maybe vice versa. Lesser developed countries eat very healthy compared to most developed countries, so maybe we can learn a few things from them. The goal is not only to decrease and eventually end worldwide starvation, but also end obesity at the same time.

Over 22,000 children starve everyday in the world. Projects that could be started up for not only children in Africa, but children in Indonesia and Afghanistan for example. Fundraisers could be started to help these countries and others. Obesity is an issue too, but that can be solved by exercising and the school system feeding children low fat foods and this is already taking action thanks to our first lady Michelle Obama.

In the US, the leading cause is not scarcity of food but poverty usually. We should do more to help raise money for people impoverished. As more money is raised for these people hunger will die down. Not enough people care enough to donate. More projects to raise money and help stop hunger. In my perspective to raise awareness of starvation we could have food drive and donation centers set up around certain cites to help donate food to Feed the Children and Second Harvest Food bank. To help with obesity the government could help fund races around major cites ever other week to help raise money for obesity awareness

All together starvation is outweighing obesity, starvation is causing Millions of deaths a year and people commonly think that it is because of our obese people. People who starve don't have the resources to receive the food a nutrients that they need to be able to survive. The obese individuals normally have exposure to a lot more food and they are able to eat when they want. When it comes down to it I believe that starvation is the worst case because a lot more people die. Starvation is sad and is like torcher for your body.

Although obesity is a major problem in the United States, I believe that starvation is the worse issue. In the video, it was estimated that 805 million people suffered from undernourishment in 2012-2014 with many of them living in undeveloped or developing countries. The lack of money that these countries have is the reason for there abundant amount of starvation, and these people have no choice but to starve. I believe that obesity is a major issue inside of the U.S. because of how privileged the country is. Because of all the quick food stops that people are available to causes many Americans to go overboard and gain more weight instead of living a healthy life.

Hunger is a natural trouble for many that can be easily fixed if the presence of food was apparent, but it one of the world most troubling due to a multitude of issues both physical and political. In theory shouldn't losing weight seem far more easier than actually being malnourished . Starvation seems not to only to be much more damaging to the body over time but also more universal instead of centering on America itself. Although, weight can caused many health issues I just don't believe it's just at the level of importance as hunger is when compared . Further investigation reveals that inequality between both economics and annual wealth of the citizen can also effect both health concerns and this asks the question of what exactly do we as individuals of a larger government fix . Do we fix the economy of the nation or just the food around the situation so we can fully deal with the issue at hand ? These questions and more are asked mainly because is there truly way to fix this problem without causing conflict or do we just keep trying till we actually succeed in what we need . I only believe that What ever can be done should be done .

Yes, obesity is a very important problem but if I have to choose between the two, I would choose starvation. In my opinion, obesity can be avoided for the most part but if you have nothing to eat at all, that's a problem. Starvation is still one of the leading causes of death after all these years and after all the "milestones" scientists have made with food production and increasing the amount of food that can be made. In my book, that's crazy. Obesity probably wouldn't be a problem if starvation wasn't. If everybody got a sufficient amount of food to eat, it wouldn't be that easy to eat in excess.

Obesity and starvation are both pressing matters that exist in the U.S today. In my opinion though, starvation is much more important. Obesity is more of a mental problem than anything. I feel like if obese people put their mind to it , even if they have a eating disorder, they will be able to do what's best for themselves. People in that mental state to always eat what's not good for them and not exercise just need support from friends and family so they can become better. Starvation is totally a different situation. That's when people aren't eating enough. People become malnourished and can possibly die from that. Food is not always available or people can't afford to feed themselves. As a community or a people we need to donate, hold fund raisers, and hold food drives to help these unfortunate people. In closing, I think obesity is more of mental problem that can be fixed and starvation is more like situation.

Obesity occurs in more crowded areas, where fast food is everywhere, and starvation occurs in underpopulated areas typically. Starvation is a situational problem, while obesity, in most cases, is changable. Most people who are dealing with obesity, have the choice to change. If a whole town was obese, than you could just say that they are eating well and they pockets is too. However, if a whole town is starving, then they are probably in an economic crisis. Obesity is unhealthy, but it usually goes hand in hand with eating a lot. So it can't be all that bad, and it is also avoidable and reversible with a healthy diet and exercise. However, starvation goes hand in hand with lack of money and resources. Starving also weakens the body much more than obesity.
I am not too sure on how to solve the problem though. It seems that the world would need to come together and combine money and resources, which I am not sure will happen anytime soon. it might be inevidable.
