During this term, we will be reading stories surrounding our topic of heroes and heroines. We will be learning new vocabulary, identifying key events and characters within stories. Children will be learning the story 'Superheroes Like You'. We will be learning about all the different roles of people who help us in our community and their job roles, and explore real life rescue heroes and heroines.

You can support your child at home by reading them a range of stories surrounding different job roles and people who help us throughout our community. It would be a great opportunity to expand their knowledge on what they envision a hero or heroine to be.

To help nurture your child's imagination and foster a love of reading, be sure to read a variety of stories together and discuss what you've read. Talk about the characters and key events in the story. Each week, your child will continue to bring home library books for you to read to them. This is a great opportunity to engage with your child, ask questions about the story, and explore different themes and ideas together.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPdwZrqQm_s

Explain Everything Link:

https://expl.ai/LUJPLQT
