         <title>My Feelings on the Article about how we risk losing by not challenging gifted kids.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>1.) Intellectually talented kids “don’t get the attention of policymakers,”<br>I have felt in just the short time that I have been a GTIA that what I do doesn't matter as much as when I was a Para working with Special needs children. <br><br>2.)  “If it goes too fast, they’re going to be frustrated. If it goes too slow, they’re going to be bored…. One size does not fit all.”<br>I have noticed in all my years in the educational environment that there is a standard when it comes to Black and White learning. There are so many shades of grey that children need and they are not getting their needs met due to high numbers in the classroom. Teachers are overwhelmed with what they have to do,  the differentiation that is needed but they don't have the time nor resources to adequately  address these needs. <br><br>3.) “gifted students are being cheated out of an appropriate education.” By failing to identify and support these very high-potential students, “we are shooting ourselves in the foot.” </div>]]></description>
