- "Shame Culture" - In a guilt culture, you know you are good or bad by what your conscience says, in a shame culture you know based off how others see you. - Built off 'inclusion' or 'exclusion'
- The warning voice is not only civil, but joyous

- Because I love you I want you to change - become who the Lord wants you to be
I say this to my children ALL the time. "I make it hard because I love you, if I didn't love you, I'd only give you easy things to do."
1. As we learn to see others as the Lord sees them, our love for them will grow as will our desire to serve them
2. No teaching or learning will be done in frustration or anger. Needs to be done with love.
3. Love should never be withdrawn for any reason
4. Because he loves us, he expects a lot of us
