My call to adventure was my alarms clock going off on the fist day of school. Though I knew the sound of the alarm too well it was still painful to here that first morning.

The alarm clock relates to the hero's journey in the sense that this is what called me to start my adventure of high school and at first i refused my call to adventure but my mom made sure that i followed through with getting ready.

The Threshold

The threshold I felt that i crossed was the first day of school. This was the day that i first entered my high school enviroment as a student.

This relates to a hero's crossing of the threshold because the crossing of the threshold is when the hero leaves his known world to start his journey and arriving the first day of school is when i left my safe environment of middle school and non high school life to the world of high school.

The challenges I had to face this semester Included tests, quizzes, and homework while some of the temtations i faced were netflix and memes.

The abyss, or my darkest hour of this semester was finals week. Throughout this week i was very stressed and very tired everyday and just waiting for it to be over.

Just like the hero is the hero's journey I had a time where I was very down in my quest and things were not looking good but i managed to succed and be a better student because of it.

In the "SpongeBob Squarepants Movie" Spongebob's call to adventure is when Plankton frames Mr. Krabs for the stealing of Kin Neptunes crown. Neptune is furious and freezes Mr. Krabs but, Spongebob tells him it's not Krabs fault and that he can return the crown to neptune if he spares Krabs.

During the movie Spongebob and Patrick cross a physical threshold of the city limits of bikini bottom. Once they have crossed the city limit they are no longer in their safe land of bikini bottom but into the unknown where many challenges and temptations await...

Through their quest Spongebob and Patrick go against different challenges and temptations. Right after they cross the county line their vehicle is stolen and they have to walk the journey. Of course no journey is complete without temptations so they face a seemingly harmless old lady offering free ice cream who turns out to be a terrifying monster who tries to eat them alive.

About halfway through the quest Spongebob and Patrick come across a literal abyss. When they see this abyss they lose all hope of finding the crown and decide to mope around. Until their spirits are lifted again and they do a big sing and dance number.
