I am not confident how often these emails actually are read. I've decided for this school year I will send regular "Media Minutes" (every 3-4 weeks). My first one of the year includes library hours for students, info about an author visit in September, 1-1 distribution details, new databases, etc. We have 20+ new staff this year, so I figured it was worthwhile to share the basics, all in one-convenient location. KathrynFlynn https://padlet.com/kelley_williams/leadership/wish/180817235 2017-08-13 01:03:54 UTC https://padlet.com/kelley_williams/leadership/wish/180817235 Tech Tuesday JenniferSiderius https://padlet.com/kelley_williams/leadership/wish/180853583 Each month, I hold a "Tech Tuesday" breakfast event for teachers from 8:00-8:30 am.  It's a drop in as you want event and I try to showcase something new in the media center, like robots, our Lego wall, new apps, or websites/databases that teachers can use with their students.  I bring breakfast treats (iced coffee and granola bars) and teachers who drop in can wear jeans that day.  It's voluntary for us all but a fun way to pull them into the media center.

Using Smore, I have created newsletters with library and technology information. We have several new staff members this year, so I plan to create a special newsletter for them. I use Remind to keep in touch with parents.
