I believe personal trials such as those can be used to encourage students with learning difficulties by showing them that difficulties can be overcome and managed with support and resources. One of the best parts of the video was when the superintendent expressed that having the support and encouragement at school coupled with the support he received at home really made a difference in how he navigated his education. I hope that we can be a support to our students in a similar way.

Someone else mentioned family involvement and one noted, not just family involvement but circumstances including the socio-economic status of the family are important factors to consider.
