This website gives a broad summary over the popular sport events that occurred in the 1920s. Acknowledging the great athletes that changed the way the sport was played, writing about tennis, golf, swimming, horse racing, boxing. football, and baseball. The website recognizes Knute Rockney for football, Jack Dempsey for boxing, Man o'War for horse racing, and many other sport legends. I enjoyed reading and learning about Babe Ruth and his impact on baseball even before television, steroids, free agency, and million dollar contracts. This website would benefit those who are unaware about revolutionary athletes and what they achieved for their sport. This website provides interesting information and facts about the upcoming events in the 1920s. I enjoyed reading about the teams who won most during the 1920s. For example, California University won Titles in college football. When I read what's on this website, I had no idea what the events were talking about. I wasn't familiar with the information and I've read more than three websites. If you want to learn about events relating to sports in the 1920s that no one knows about, then click this website. Topics about the 1925 Polo Grounds, Red Grange, The four horseman, and other random important facts and events in the 1920s. I didn't really enjoy reading this website because this knowledge is nice to know, but will never need it for anything. France was the favorite, but the US surprised everyone and beat France 8-0. The US Rugby team went on to receive a gold medal. Joe Jackson, also known as "Shoe-less" Joe Jackson, one of the eight, admitted that he helped throw the series to the Reds. After leaving the courthouse, he was approached by a young fan and said to him, "It ain't so, Joe, is it?" This quote became famous from reporters at the time. Babe Ruth created several records, including the most home runs in a season. A sport is a physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment. Social life became more entertaining and competitive in the 20s. Their was now a purpose to becoming a professional athlete. Athletes were paid and made famous by sport fans just by performing well. Babe Ruth made the sport of Baseball exponentially more popular because people were awed by his performance. Another example of an athlete who changed the way a sport was played, was Knuke Rockney for his great understanding as a football coach/player for the college of Notre Dame. These athletes and many more, helped with the growth and popularity of their sport they participated in. As professional sports grew, so did the Olympics Games, which started way before the 20s. This era of athletes in the US also increased the popularity or sports in other countries. More and more nations joined the Olympics Games because of competitive attitude and general influence by the US.
