We will be studying the regions that make California unique. This study will end in a cumulative knowledge project where we make- a "dough map" of California. We will be tracing California on cardboard on Monday and forming the regions of California on the cardboard on Friday. Please have your student bring in premade dough for the project. A flyer was sent home last week with the recipe.

This is a lovely book that explores the mix of technology and nature while also understanding what it means to belong and being accepting of others. While we read the book, we will study the theme, character traits, overall reading comprehension, and vocabulary study. This week, we continue reading the book by completing chapters 51-60.

We are working on our study skills and habits by making flashcards in class for the vocabulary words.


In writing, we are reading/analyzing/writing Poetry as well as focusing on parts of speech and cursive.
