So Greg´s mom decides Greg and his two brothers, Manny and Rodrick, need to go outside. But not in the normal, wintry way, no no no, they decide their gift will be A TRIP TO A RESORT. Greg´s dad, Frank, is all in for the idea, considering he hates the cold weather. So, they pack their bags and head to the airport, but their flight is delayed for a very, very, VERY, long time, and now, their trip is OVERNIGHT. which is NOT GOOD AT ALL. And it ends up sucking anyway. they go around to explore, Greg goes to the pool, and an IGUANA APPEARS. Greg, from his natural instincts, runs out of the pool to go check with the lifeguard because he doesn´t know what an iguana is, and the lifeguard tells him iguanas are all over the place there. he goes back to his suite and FINDS A GIGANTIC SPIDER. he calls room service and has to ORDER BREAKFAST TO GET THEM TO COME TO HIS SUITE. but room service arrives and the delivery guy has THE SAME FEAR OF SPIDERS AS GREG. So him and the delivery guy work together to catch the spider, and get it, horray! well, a while later, Greg calls his dad and his dad says he saw a spider on the toilet lid. that´s the end of the reading response.
