The Iranian National Observatory (INO), inaugurated in 2021, is situated in the mountains of northern Iran. It is located on Mount Gargash, at an altitude of approximately 3600m.

Telescopes: INO340, a 3.4m optical telescope, the largest of its kind in Iran. This telescope employs a Ritchey-Chrétien configuration with a KEPLER KL4040 FLI scientific CCD camera at the main Cassegrain focus. Provides photometry in u'g'r'i' and UBVRI filter systems; INO Lens Array (INOLA) is 3 coordinated 14cm lenses offering BVR photometry.

The 60/90/180 cm Schmid-telescope with a 3x3 degree field of view is a dedicated insstrument to near-earth (and imminent impactor) asteroid search.
