I believe in a God who is not created but is. He is the “I am”. This also means that I believe in a monotheistic God who is also a triune God consisting of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I believe in the mind, body, and soul. Each function is different, but they work together to form the whole. I believe the body is an earthly temple created for God’s use. The mind may relate to spirit or personality, and I believe that is something we will take with us in Heaven. Our soul is something eternal that only humans have since we are different from animals and created in God’s image. People were made perfect in the garden and the fall has allowed sin to make us imperfect. We are sinful people with the ability to choose God through free will. If reality was founded only in the physical world, I would say there is no reason for a spirit or otherwise. I believe God made every part of creation to be exact and meaningful. Everything works together for good. Material is real and our bodies are real, but it doesn’t carry over into heaven. However, it heavily influences our experiences, and we are made in his image. The spiritual world is just as important, maybe more so.

I think this follows partially with my belief in truth. I think everything God created is beautiful and of value. However, some things may not be my taste because of my personality. We each appreciate different things and see God in different ways. I think everything is innately beautiful regardless of us being here, but we may not find it tastefully beautiful because of personality. There is a grey area where sin comes in.
If a painting is worldly but a Christian can use it to bring glory to God, is it good? I guess that goes more into the question of “is something of value because it is good, if so, what is good?”
